American Program at "New Generation" School
The American Program at "New Generation" School is announcing a vacancy for the position of Tutor.
The Tutor provides academic support to students studying in the English-medium American Program, working with individuals and small groups both within and outside the classroom, in close coordination with subject teachers.
Qualification Requirements:
Candidates must meet the requirements established by law, including:
** Higher education in Education, English Philology, or the relevant subject area (students in their final year of a bachelor`s program may be considered)
** Command of English sufficient to work with students in English (B2 minimum)
** Experience working with school-age children in a teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or camp setting is an advantage
** A teacher training certificate or the corresponding status established by law is an advantage, but not required
Main Responsibilities:
** Providing individual and small-group academic support to students in English-medium subjects
** Supporting students who are new to the program or who are still developing their English proficiency
** Supervising and supporting students during independent study, homework, and consultation hours
** Monitoring the progress of assigned students and keeping records of support provided
** Communicating regularly with subject teachers, parents and the administration regarding student progress and concerns
** Supporting students with individual learning needs in collaboration with the special education teacher
** Participating in professional development and school activities
Required Competencies:
** Ability to explain academic material clearly in English at a level appropriate to the student
** Ability to identify where a student`s difficulty actually lies and adapt the approach accordingly
** Patience and skill in working one-on-one and with small groups
** Digital literacy: school management systems, educational platforms, and office software
** Ability to work as part of a team and follow the lead teacher`s instructional plan
Personal Qualities:
** A kind and empathetic attitude toward children and adolescents, along with emotional stability and tact
** High professional ethics, responsibility, communication skills, and a culture of teamwork
** Organization, punctuality, and a commitment to continuous professional development
** Discretion and reliability in handling information about students
Documentation to Submit to the School
** Copy of ID card
** Autobiography / CV (preferably in English)
** Notarized copy of educational credentials (certificate, diploma)
** 3/4 photograph, printed and in digital format
** Documents confirming professional development (if applicable)
** Criminal record certificate
** Certificate regarding sexual offense convictions
** Certificate regarding deprivation of rights
Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview and a short practical task with a student or a modelled tutoring situation.
