We are seeking a disciplined and detail-oriented Executive Chef to lead the culinary operations of a multi-restaurant group.
The Executive Chef will be responsible for establishing and maintaining kitchen management practices to ensure consistency, efficiency, and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate should be a strong leader in the kitchen, with proven abilities in team development and operational control. The focus will be less on creativity and more on process management and maintaining high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Training
** Manage the recruitment process to build high-performing culinary teams across all locations.
** Develop and implement structured orientation and training programs focused on skill development and operational standards.
** Conduct regular assessments and retraining to maintain team efficiency and consistency.
Cost Control (COGS)
** Monitor and control food costs to align with budgetary goals.
** Collaborate with the purchasing team to optimize supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, and source high-quality ingredients.
** Implement portion control and waste management systems to reduce losses.
Hygiene and Food Safety
** Enforce strict hygiene and food safety protocols in compliance with local regulations and company standards.
** Conduct regular kitchen inspections and audits to maintain cleanliness and food safety at all locations.
** Train staff on proper sanitation, storage, and food-handling procedures.
Team Motivation and Leadership
** Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and high morale.
** Proactively address and resolve conflicts or issues within the team.
Recipe Control and Implementation
** Ensure consistent execution of recipes across all restaurant locations.
** Conduct regular kitchen audits to verify compliance with recipe standards and portion sizes.
** Collaborate with management to update recipes to align with operational and financial goals.
Kitchen Management Practices
** Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for kitchen operations.
** Maintain strict control over scheduling, inventory management, and staffing to ensure operational efficiency.
** Regularly review and improve kitchen workflows to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
