DEVELOPMENT CONSULTING ASSOCIATE
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION
The role focuses on supporting the implementation of development consulting initiatives across ACT Global`s target countries. The selected candidate will work closely with different internal teams contributing to project delivery, research activities, and proposal preparation for local and international development assignments.
Specifically:
1. Project Implementation Support
** Provide operational and analytical support to project teams implementing development consulting initiatives in ACT Global target countries.
** Assist multiple internal teams across ongoing projects, ensuring coordination and timely delivery of tasks.
** Support project documentation, internal communication, and coordination of project activities under the supervision of high-mid and senior staff.
2. Research, Analysis, and Reporting Support
** Contribute to the preparation of descriptive reports by synthesising qualitative and quantitative data.
** Contribute to the preparation of desk research drafts/outlines and structured summaries of research findings.
** Support the facilitation of focus groups and in-depth discussions, and contribute to the organisation of qualitative research activities.
** Prepare narrative summaries from qualitative interviews and stakeholder consultations.
** Develop clear graphical illustrations, charts, and tables for reports and presentations using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
3. Tender and Proposal Preparation Support
** Support proposal preparation processes by assisting the team in identifying relevant experts through professional platforms such as LinkedIn and other recruitment channels used by ACT Global.
** Contribute to drafting expert recruitment announcements and communication materials related to calls preparation for experts recruitments.
** Assist in compiling documentation required for proposal submissions.
4. Expert Identification and CV Review
** Under the supervision of senior staff, conduct initial screening of expert CVs against Terms of Reference requirements.
** Assess the relevance of expert qualifications and experience in relation to tender criteria.
** Support the refinement and formatting of expert CVs to align clearly with project requirements and donor expectations.
5. Data Management and Analytical Support
** Work extensively with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools for data organisation, reporting, and documentation.
** Support data compilation and analysis activities within project assignments.
6. Language and Documentation Support
** Provide high-quality written communication in English.
** Translate documents between English and Georgian when required, or coordinate translation processes while ensuring the accuracy, clarity, and professional quality of translated materials.
7. Digital Tools and Analytical Software
** Use digital collaboration platforms and project management tools used within ACT Global.
** Basic knowledge of statistical software such as SPSS, Power BI, or R will be considered an asset.
8. Event and Logistics Coordination
** Assist in organising meetings, workshops, seminars, and stakeholder consultations.
** Coordinate logistical arrangements with relevant vendors, including venues, hotels, and catering services.
9. Digital Work Environment
** Demonstrate strong computer literacy and the ability to work effectively across various digital platforms used for project management, communication, and document collaboration.
10. Process Improvement and Innovation
** Contribute ideas for improving internal processes and workflows.
** Support the development of practical solutions that enhance organisational efficiency, such as improved scheduling tools, coordination mechanisms, or digital templates.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
** Bachelor`s degree in business administration, social sciences, public policy, international development, or related fields (Master`s degree is an asset).
** Strong command of English (written and spoken, C1 level required).
** Ability to work in Georgian and English, including document translation and review when necessary.
** Basic research, analytical, and advanced writing skills.
** Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Sharepoing, Onedrive.
** High level of digital literacy and ability to work with online collaboration platforms (including CRM).
WORK EXPERIENCE:
** 1-3 years of relevant professional experience in research, consulting, development projects, or related analytical/assistance/technical support work.
** Experience supporting research activities, report writing, or project implementation will be considered an advantage.
** Experience assisting in proposal preparation or working with international development projects will be considered an asset.
