Position Overview
Business Performance Lead - Accounting & Tax is responsible for driving revenue growth, profitability, and operational efficiency across outsourced accounting and tax consulting services. This role bridges the gap between project-level accounting execution and strategic oversight, ensuring consistent quality, compliance, and client satisfaction. The Lead will provide managerial direction to project accountants, strengthen collaboration with the sales department, and support the Head of Tax Department by complementing technical expertise with strong leadership and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Revenue Growth
** Develop and implement strategies to increase profitability of outsourced accounting and tax consulting services.
** Identify opportunities for service expansion, cross-selling, and efficiency improvements.
** Collaborate with the sales department to align service delivery with client acquisition and retention goals.
Operational Oversight & Efficiency
** Establish standardized processes, workflows, and internal controls for outsourced accounting projects.
** Monitor project performance, ensuring timely delivery, accuracy, and compliance with IFRS for SMEs and local regulations.
** Drive automation and process optimization to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Team Management & Development
** Provide direct managerial oversight to project accountants, ensuring accountability, workload balance, and professional growth.
** Act as the functional head of the accounting department, filling the current leadership gap.
** Mentor and support the Head of Tax Department in managerial aspects, complementing their technical expertise.
Client Service Excellence
** Ensure high-quality client deliverables, maintaining strong relationships through collaboration with the sales team.
** Translate client needs into actionable accounting and tax solutions.
** Serve as escalation point for complex client issues, ensuring resolution and satisfaction.
Financial & Compliance Control
** Oversee financial reporting, consolidation, and audit readiness for outsourced clients.
** Ensure compliance with tax laws, accounting standards, and internal policies.
** Monitor profitability metrics and provide regular performance reports to executive leadership.
Required Skills & Competencies
** Strong leadership and managerial skills, with proven ability to supervise and motivate accounting teams.
** Advanced knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS for SMEs), tax regulations, and audit procedures.
** Strategic mindset with focus on revenue growth and efficiency.
** Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with sales, tax, and executive leadership.
** Ability to design and enforce internal controls and standardized processes.
** Previous experience in this field in a managerial position.
Reporting Line:
** Reports directly to the Company Director/Executive Leadership.
** Works in close coordination with the Sales Department and Head of Tax Department.
