Charitable Foundation Caritas Georgia was founded by the Catholic Church on November 3, 1994, and has since been actively operating in the fields of emergency response, humanitarian aid, social support, healthcare, and development. It assists vulnerable populations in Georgia and promotes the establishment of charity and justice in the country.
From the day of its founding, Caritas Georgia has served the poor population of Georgia. Volunteers Coordinator in South Georgia
Position Overview:
Volunteers Coordinator is responsible for supporting the development, implementation and coordination of the community and volunteering activities that strengthen communities and create meaningful impact that contributes to the success of Caritas Georgia`s mission and goals. Volunteers Coordinator works collaboratively and reports to the Program officer to execute strategic initiatives.
Part-time position:
Salary - 550 Gel (gross)
Location - Akhaltsikhe
Key Responsibilities:
** Assist in designing and implementation of the volunteering activities in South Georgia that align with organizational objectives.
** Coordinate recruitment of new volunteers and ensure their retention through training, recognition, and support.
** Organize application and contract documents for registered volunteers.
** Assist in development of the local and international volunteer roles and create strategies to ensure their active engagement and impact in projects.
** Provide direct support to volunteers and address their concerns.
** Maintain accurate records of volunteer participation and performance through the various tracking systems.
** Monitor project impact on local level and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
** Informing the program officer about challenges and problems in the program.
** Providing a safe working environment for volunteers
** Prepare monthly reports for the Program officer about the implemented activities and outcomes.
Qualifications:
Required:
** 2+ years of experience in the field of youth work
** Strong organizational skills
** Fluency in Georgian
** Intermediate or higher proficiency in English
** Experience with data collection and reporting
** Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
** Detail-oriented with good time management
Preferred:
Experience working in a nonprofit setting
