Based in Tbilisi, Georgia | 1-year, extendable contract
The World Bank`s South Caucasus Country Unit is looking for a Senior Operations Officer (SOO) to lead strategic engagement and operational delivery for Georgia. This is an exciting opportunity to shape development outcomes, collaborate with high-level partners, and contribute to the World Bank`s mission of ending poverty and boosting shared prosperity.
What You`ll Do
As Senior Operations Officer, you will:
** Lead preparation and implementation of the Country Partnership Framework (CPF) and other key country engagement products.
** Build and maintain strong partnerships with government counterparts, development partners, and internal teams.
** Manage the Georgia work program, portfolio, and budget, ensuring quality, alignment, and timely delivery.
** Supervise and mentor staff in the Tbilisi Country Office.
** Play an active role in the ECCSC Leadership Team, contributing to strategy and regional priorities.
What We`re Looking For:
** Master`s degree in economics, management, business administration, social sciences, or a related field.
** Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience.
** Proven experience in country strategy and operational management; familiarity with World Bank operations and policies is a plus.
** Strong strategic thinking, political judgment, and relationship management skills.
** Excellent planning, organization, and communication abilities.
** Fluency in English and Georgian (spoken and written).
