PROGRAM/DEPARTMENT SUMMARY:
Mercy Corps is implementing a program "Safe Online: Promoting Safety and Empowering Women in the Digital Economy" (Safe Online) that operates in targeted areas of Georgia and Armenia to advance economic growth through democratizing digital transformation and online safety for women in business. The program emphasizes reducing online violence and enhancing women`s and all workers capacity to benefit from digital platforms, particularly in the tourism and agriculture sectors.
GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
The Innovations Specialist enhances e-commerce and digital sales by scaling innovative, secure solutions. The role supports SMEs, promotes online safety, and strengthens digital capacity through platform coordination, training, and cross-sector collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
** Identify and scale innovative solutions that enhance digital sales, safe online business presence and secure e-commerce capabilities for the organization and its partners
** Leverage digital platforms to promote online safety and drive economic growth, especially for small and medium enterprises
** Coordinate with e-commerce platforms to ensure effective engagement
** Integrate digital innovation and marketing strategies to improve online visibility and sales
** Lead capacity building and training initiatives to strengthen digital competencies
** Foster cross-sector collaboration to support digital ecosystem development
** Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of digital sales and innovation initiatives
** Produce regular reports to track progress, impact, and areas for improvement
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
** Bachelor`s or/and Master`s in Human Rights, Social Sciences, International Development, or Business
** 3+ years` experience in digital business or international project implementation
** Experience working with entrepreneurs, associations, MSMEs
** Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
** Fluency in Georgian and English
** Willingness to travel regionally
