Position:
We seek an experienced A-Level Information Technology Teacher to deliver Cambridge`s A-Level IT (9626) syllabus, equipping students with advanced technical skills, computational thinking, and ethical awareness for higher education and careers in tech.
Key Responsibilities:
** Teaching & Curriculum Delivery: Teach the Cambridge International A-Level IT (9626) syllabus, covering: Practical Programming (Python, SQL, algorithmic problem-solving), Data Management (databases, normalization, Big Data), Networking & Cybersecurity (protocols, encryption, ethical hacking), Emerging Technologies (AI, IoT, blockchain), IT Project Management (systems lifecycle, Agile/Waterfall). Design lessons that blend theory with hands-on projects (e.g., building apps, analyzing datasets).
** Assessment & Feedback: Prepare students for Paper 1 (Theory) and Paper 2 (Practical) exams. Provide formative feedback on coding assignments, coursework, and mock exams.
** Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work with Math, Science, and Humanities teachers to integrate IT skills (e.g., data visualization for research projects).
** Innovation & Professional Growth: Stay updated on tech trends (e.g., generative AI tools) and incorporate them into teaching. Attend Cambridge training sessions and share best practices with colleagues.
Requirements:
** Expertise in A-Level IT syllabus topics (programming, databases, networking).
** Familiarity with Cambridge assessment criteria and mark schemes.
** Fluency in Python, SQL, and at least one other programming languages
** Ability to explain complex concepts (e.g., recursion, relational databases) through real-world examples (e.g., social media algorithms, e-commerce systems).
** Experience with active learning (hackathons, peer code reviews) and formative assessment.
** Commitment to creating a supportive environment where mistakes are part of learning.
** Fluency in English (C1+) to explain intricate ideas clearly; effective collaboration with students, parents, and staff.
** Willingness to integrate modern EdTech tools and develop original resources.
Qualifications & Experience:
** Bachelor`s/Master`s in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
** 2+ years teaching A-Level/IB IT or similar pre-university programs.
** Background in industry tech roles (software development, cybersecurity).
** English C1+ (Russian B2+ preferred).
Preferred:
** Experience with Cambridge International A-Level IT (9626).
** Teaching certification (PGCE, Cambridge International Diploma, or equivalent).
** Skills in EdTech tools (GitHub Classroom, Replit, Jupyter Notebooks).
** Experience with academic sources and English-language textbooks.
** Teaching 15-18-year-olds in international/bilingual settings.
