Flat Rock Technology is pleased to announce an opening for the position of Senior PHP Developer.

Main responsibilities:
** Develop and maintain web applications using Laravel
** Customize and extend WordPress themes and plugins
** Integrate APIs and third-party services into PHP applications
** Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code
** Maintain database structures and optimize queries (MySQL)
** Create and maintain technical documentation that supports the ongoing development process
** Troubleshoot and debug issues across environments
** Identify and address performance bottlenecks in existing code to improve overall system performance
** Participate in code reviews, daily standups, and agile processes
** Proficient in leveraging AI tools and platforms to support and enhance daily tasks and operational workflows
Requirements:
** 5+ years of professional experience in PHP development
** Experience with at least one major PHP framework (such as Laravel, Symfony, etc.), with the ability to work framework-agnostic and a solid understanding of underlying framework architecture and principles
** In-depth knowledge of WordPress core functions, custom theme development, and plugin development
** Solid experience with MySQL or other relational databases
** Strong understanding of RESTful API design and integration
** Proficient in unit testing
** In-depth understanding of OOP principles and patterns
** Basic understanding of Linux System Administration (configuration and administration)
** Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or similar) is a strong advantage
** Basic understanding of server provisioning, deployment pipelines, and cloud storage
** Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, agile team environment
