PROGRAM/DEPARTMENT SUMMARY:
Mercy Corps is implementing a program "Safe Online: Promoting Safety and Empowering Women in the Digital Economy" (Safe Online) that operates in targeted areas of Georgia and Armenia to advance inclusive economic growth through democratizing digital transformation and online safety for women in business.
GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
The Program Officer will support the Safe Online program to promote digital inclusion for women and marginalized workers in Georgia and Armenia. This role involves implementing activities that enhance access to the digital economy, building partnerships, and supporting policy efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
** Coordinate and implement program activities
** Engage with stakeholders and support digital policy initiatives
** Build capacity and advocate for digital inclusion
** Support research, surveys, and data analysis
** Maintain communication with partners and sub-contractors
** Contribute to reporting and program learning
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
** Bachelor`s or Master`s in Human Rights, Social Sciences, International Development, or Business
** 3+ years` experience in digital business or project implementation
** Experience working with entrepreneurs, MSMEs, and digital tools
** Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
** Fluency in Georgian and English (Russian is an asset)
** Willingness to travel regionally
