Financial Controller

Are you a skilled Financial Controller with a background in international branded hotels? We`re searching for a talented individual to join our team in a pivotal role, offering the chance to contribute to pre-opening activities and ensure sound financial management. If you possess knowledge of Georgian statutory accounting, along with strong legal acumen, we invite you to apply and become part of our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

** Pre-Opening Expertise: Lead financial pre-opening activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, to support the successful launch of our new property.
** Financial Management: Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and cash flow management, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with Georgian statutory accounting standards.
** Internal Controls: Establish and maintain robust internal control procedures to safeguard assets, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
** Legal Compliance: Stay abreast of relevant laws and regulations, providing guidance and support to ensure compliance with Georgian statutory accounting requirements and other legal obligations.
** Financial Analysis: Conduct regular financial analysis and performance evaluations to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights to support decision-making.
** Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
** Audit and Taxation: Coordinate external audits and tax filings, liaising with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities as necessary.

Qualifications:

** Proven experience as a Financial Controller in international branded hotels, with pre-opening experience preferred.
** Knowledge of Georgian statutory accounting standards and regulatory requirements as well as knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including USALI and GAAP.
** Strong legal knowledge, particularly in areas relevant to financial management and hospitality operations.
** Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
** Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
** Bachelor`s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required; CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
** Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
** Fluency in English and Georgian; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
** Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
** Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
** Knowledge of hotel accounting software is a plus.
