Position: Chief Accountant
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
** Responsible for day-to-day finance and accounts operations, checking the accounts reconciliations etc.;
** Ensure timely and accurate reporting and preparation of the financial statements in accordance with the Georgia statutory requirements, monthly declarations.
** Preparation of additional reports required from HQ Accounting department;
** Participating in payroll issues, i.e. salary-related payments;
** Knowledge of preparation of statistical reporting and file the reports with the statistical authorities within the established deadlines;
** Support Tax department by providing accurate data on a timely basis for the tax returns preparation, deferred tax calculation etc.
** Support HQ Accounting team in ensuring that intercompany cost allocations are in line with management agreements and transfer pricing policy;
** Develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies for the set up;
** Reviewing rent, construction agreements. Controlling payments based on the agreements;
** Work consultatively with the respective departments;
** Taking full responsibility for the internal audit process from planning to completion (Support consultant company for independent audit);
** Monthly closing procedures
Required Qualifications:
** Minimum University Degree in related departments, Accounting qualification is preferred (ACCA, CAP, CIMA);
** Experience as a Chief Accountant, in an international retail company (preferred);
** Good knowledge of Georgia accounting and civil legislation and Tax code;
** Proficient in ERP systems, i.e. SAP (preferred);
** Good knowledge of MS Word and Excel;
** Good knowledge of English (written and Verbal)
