Every season, Kings runs thousands of Olympiad questions across dozens of countries, and behind each one is a pipeline: calibration against last season`s data, expert review, translation, appeals, platform loading and a constant stream of numbers telling us whether any of it is actually working. The subject knowledge already lives with our experts and our AI tools.
What the pipeline actually needs is someone sharp enough to run it, question it, and keep pushing it to work better. That`s the ownership this role exists to take. We`re genuinely not looking for a finished expert. We`d rather take someone green with real curiosity and a fast learning curve than someone experienced who`s stopped digging. If that`s you, we`ll teach you the rest.
The Role:
What you`ll actually do:
Note: you won`t be doing all of this on day one. This role grows in scope as you do. We add responsibility step by step, only as fast as you`re ready for it.
** Coordinate the question pipeline, start to finish
** You`re not inventing questions fr om scratch, our AI tools and subject experts handle the heavy lifting on content. Your job is to run that process well: brief the AI, route questions to the right expert for review, manage calibration against historical performance data, and make sure everything moves through localization and platform loading without anything slipping.
Live in the performance data:
Track score patterns by country, by tour, by project. Catch questions that are behaving oddly, and turn what you find into concrete fixes for the next round; this is wh ere your judgment matters most.
Manage the appeals pipeline:
You`re not personally re-litigating academic disputes, you`re running the process: routing appeals to the right expert or local representative, tracking them to resolution, and closing the loop when a correction needs to propagate everywhere a question is used.
Shape the platform experience:
Study the student journey before, during, and after a test spot friction points, propose fixes, and work with our dev team to make the process smoother for students and reviewers alike.
Push AI further into how we work:
Not just using it actively explore where it can improve checking, localization, and the appeals process itself.
Take on new academic products:
** As you grow into the role, you`ll help scope the academic side of new offerings, partnerships, and eventually a student-facing app.
** Be a real teammate
We`re still a startup, still shaping where things go. You`ll be in the brainstorms, the "what if we tried…" conversations contributing beyond your own lane.
The Fit:
What we`re looking for:
** An average, comfortable grasp of math and English
** You don`t need to be a specialist in either our experts and AI tools to cover the depth. You just need to be sharp enough to follow the content, ask the right questions, and know when something looks off.
** A real relationship with AI not just a search habit
** You`ve used AI seriously, in university work or on your own, and you know the difference between prompting it well and just typing a question into it. You like figuring out how to get more out of it.
A natural instinct for data:
** You can look at a table of scores or timing stats and see the story in it: what`s off, what it means, what to do next.
** Organized and process-minded
** You can run a pipeline with multiple moving parts experts, local reviewers, developers without anything falling through the cracks.
** Curious about product, not just content
** You want to understand why students behave the way they do on the platform, and you have opinions about how to improve it.
** Genuinely eager to learn fast
** More than any specific skill on this list, we`re looking for someone smart, curious, and hungry to grow. We`ll teach you the parts you don`t know yet.
Nice to Have:
Bonus points:
** Experience with Olympiads, competitive math, or teaching.
** Any experience working with data analysis, QA, or process/pipeline ownership.
** A second (or third) language, especially one we operate in.
** Familiarity with basic product or platform-thinking concepts (UX, funnels, A/B thinking).
The Offer:
This might be you if…
You`re a strong 3rd- or 4th-year student (or a recent graduate) who isn`t tied down right now and wants to pour your energy into something that matters. You don`t need to check every box above. What matters more is that you`re analytical, curious, and genuinely quick to pick things up. We`d rather invest in someone with the right instincts than look for someone who`s already done all of this before.
The details:
Around 40 hours a week, with flexible scheduling that can work around university commitments.
You`ll be part of a close, energetic team that supports you, challenges you, and celebrates the wins together. Come as you are enthusiastic, dependable, and ready to grow with us.
Send us an email: who you are, why this role speaks to you, and (if you have one) an example of how you`ve used AI in a way that actually impressed you, or a time you dug into data or a process and made it better.
