Georgian Beer Company is looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Treasury Specialist to manage the company`s daily cash and liquidity operations, banking transactions, foreign currency operations, and payment processes.
The position will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely execution of banking transactions, monitoring daily cash positions and liquidity, and maintaining effective relationships with partner banks. The role requires close collaboration with the Accounting and Finance teams to ensure accurate payment processing, reconciliation, and financial control.
Key Responsibilities:
Cash & Liquidity Management:
** Monitor daily cash balances across the company`s bank accounts and ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs
** Monitor short-term cash flow positions and ensure timely availability of funds for planned payments and obligations
** Prepare and maintain daily Treasury Reports and provide relevant cash and liquidity information to management
Banking Operations & Payments:
** Prepare, initiate, and monitor local and international bank transfers, ensuring accurate and timely execution
** Ensure timely settlement of approved obligations to suppliers, employees, and government authorities in accordance with established payment schedules
** Execute foreign currency transactions and negotiate competitive exchange rates with partner banks
Accounting Data Analysis & ERP
** Review and analyze accounting balances and accounts payable in the ERP system to determine the accurate amounts due for payment
** Review advances, accounting entries, deductions, and offsets to ensure the company`s actual financial position with contractors and suppliers is accurately reflected before initiating payments
** Identify and prevent duplicate, excessive, or incorrect payments through detailed review of accounting and payment information
** Collaborate closely with the Accounting team to reconcile complex transactions, unclear balances, discrepancies, and non-standard payment requests
Bank Relations:
** Maintain day-to-day communication and coordination with partner banks regarding payments, account balances, foreign currency transactions, and other banking matters
** Support effective communication with banks to ensure timely resolution of operational and transactional issues
Qualifications and Experience:
** Bachelor`s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
** 2-3 years of relevant experience in Treasury, Accounting, Finance Operations, or a related financial function
** Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial transactions, accounting entries, and bank reconciliation processes
** Practical experience working with ERP systems is required
** Good command of Microsoft Excel and experience in financial data processing and analysis
** Knowledge of local banking regulations and international payment processes
** Good command of English language at B2 level, for communication with international partners and banks
