MAC Georgia is pleased to announce an opening for the position of Psychologist. We are looking for enthusiastic psychologist to join MAC`s accomplished team. Working under the close supervision and guidance of Dr. Cathy McLain and MAC Georgia`s international team of specialists, this position offers exciting hands-on experience and meaningful professional development in the field of disabilities. We are looking for individuals with a psychology background who are fluent or near-fluent in English, and who possess a desire to improve their personal skills in counseling, testing, and understanding of disability and poverty issues. A flexible mind and willingness to travel throughout rural Georgia is essential.

Our work includes family support, youth scholarships, volunteerism, professional training, independent living centers, and national-level advocacy. Key Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Training Development and Implementation:
** Design, implement, and evaluate various training materials for a variety of stakeholders around the country of Georgia, including teachers, medical professionals, service providers, and government officials;
** Support MAC`s psychology and occupational therapy teams in the development of trainings and materials that are appropriate for, and accessible to, PWDs and their family members;
** Provide direct training and ongoing support to PWDs, their families, service providers and other stakeholders;
Outreach and Documentation:
** Work closely with MAC`s Psychology Team Lead to effectively advertise training opportunities and increase MAC`s visibility across Georgia;
** Coordinate, under the guidance of the Psychology Team Lead, with potential clients to gather information, schedule trainings, and secure lodging;
** Proctor post-training examinations and create/distribute certificates;
** Maintain accurate and timely documentation and update all relevant databases;
** Represent MAC at community and stakeholder meetings on an as-needed basis;
Evaluation and Consultation:
** Provide evaluation and report writing of both English (under supervision) and Georgian speaking individuals on an as-needed basis
** Document findings and recommendations in both the English and Georgian language
** Offer expert consultation and recommendations to a variety of stakeholders including parents, medical staff, service providers, and government officials;
** Increase visibility and stakeholder awareness of MAC and its services;
** Represent MAC in the community by working with government and nongovernment organizations to address the issue of family and community special needs support;
Strategic and Financial Planning:
** Work with Psychology Team Lead to develop and implement strategic goals;
** Contribute to the ongoing development and review of proposals for outside funding of projects;
** Engage in ongoing professional development;
Position Qualifications:
** Master`s Degree or equivalent experience in Psychology/psychological field- Neuropsychologists, Clinical psychologists, and Educational psychologists preferred;
** Proven ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of constituents of various economic and educational backgrounds;
** Practical experience working with community stakeholders including direct beneficiaries, local authorities and other decision makers;
** Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
** Willingness and ability to travel throughout the regions of Georgia, as needed;
** Fluency in the English and Georgian languages is required.
