Prime Concrete LLC is pleased to announce the vacancy for the position of Planning engineer
Role Overview:
We are hiring a Planning Engineer with a proven track record in managing planning and scheduling for large-scale infrastructure and marine projects. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in project controls, strong command of MS Project, and a thorough understanding of complex construction sequencing in marine and civil works.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Scheduling & Baseline Development:
** Develop, update, and manage detailed construction schedules using Primavera P6.
** Prepare baseline programs, work breakdown structures (WBS), and activity coding.
** Establish logical sequencing of work based on engineering, procurement, and construction constraints.
Progress Monitoring & Analysis:
** Track project progress against the baseline and provide regular updates to the project team.
** Analyze critical paths, float, and deviations, and suggest mitigation measures.
** Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and dashboards.
Coordination & Integration:
** Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction teams to gather schedule inputs and updates.
** Interface with subcontractors and vendors to integrate third-party schedules.
** Collaborate with cost control for time-cost integration and earned value analysis (EVA).
Delay Analysis & Claims Support:
** Identify and document schedule delays, disruptions, and changes.
** Support preparation of Extension of Time (EOT) claims and forensic delay analysis.
Project Controls & Documentation:
** Support construction planning, phasing, logistics, and resource leveling.
** Maintain planning documentation including schedules, look-ahead plans, recovery schedules, and S-curves.
** Assist in preparing cash flow forecasts and procurement schedules.
Qualifications & Skills:
** Bachelor`s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
** Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Planning Engineer on large infrastructure and/or marine projects.
** Expert in Primavera P6 and proficient in MS Project and Excel.
** Solid understanding of civil works, marine construction (e.g., breakwaters, dredging, quay walls), and infrastructure execution methods.
** Strong knowledge of project planning standards, construction sequencing, and productivity norms.
** Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly with multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Experience:
** Experience working on large Infrastructure, marine terminals, ports, breakwaters, dredging, or coastal protection projects.
** Familiarity with FIDIC or similar contract conditions.
** Experience in EPC or design-build Projects.
