HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Branch in Georgia is pleased to announce an opening for the position of Component Manager Samegrelo.

Team: LEDP
Role Purpose
The Component Manager ensures coordination and oversight of LED processes within the (current) six municipalities of Samegrelo and Guria Regions - Poti, Zugdidi, Senaki, Kobi, Abasha and Lanchkuti around eco-tourism development. The identification of additional sectors, such as in agrifood, can widen the scope of work and results to be achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
Regional Lead:
** Monitor and evaluate the impact of project activities and make recommendations for improvement
** Organize events, workshops, and meetings to facilitate dialogue and partnership between stakeholders
** Support the development and implementation of strategies for fostering inclusive local economic development
** Support processes for identification and engagement of potential private sector partners to support LED initiatives
** Lead with detailed market systems analysis in selected localities and manage the contracted parties involved
** Collaborate with public sector entities to align government policies and business activities with the project`s goals
** Cultivate B2B partnerships that can contribute to the LED in selected municipalities
Management:
** Liaise with other development projects with similar mandate and ensure project`s representation and joint efforts
** Manage the research and learning process and the respective contractors/partners
** Utilize research and academic insights to inform strategies for private sector engagement
** Ensure the quality and integrity of project outputs
** Collaborate with other component managers for ensuring intervention cohesion
** Contribute to the monitoring and reporting processes in collaboration with the team members.

** Carry out any other task assignment by the manager for the fulfilment of project objectives.
Qualifications:
** Master`s Degree in closely related subject desirably in Economic Development or Business Administration
** A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in sector development
** Strong experience in facilitating dialogue between stakeholders
** Experience in aligning business objectives and development goals with other local actors
** A strong background in strategic planning, policy research, and project management
** Proven experience in development of B2B partnerships
** Expertise in applied economics and policy analysis
** Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
** Strong leadership and management capabilities
** Understanding of the socio-political and economic context in Georgia
** Demonstrated experience in ensuring gender equality in development projects
** Competences in mainstreaming of social inclusion principles in resource allocation schemes in support to LED
** Fluency in English and Georgian.
** Valid driver`s license.

** Skills in identifying opportunities for synergies and collaborations among different businesses
** Conflict resolution skills to address disputes or issues that may arise during private sector engagement
** Competences in managing the outcomes of a project
** In-depth knowledge of LED methodologies and approaches
** A commitment to ensuring the quality and integrity of project outputs
** Competence in monitoring and evaluation & results harvesting in selected localities
** Commitment to uphold the organizational values and maintain positive relations with team members.
