Role Overview
We`re looking for a Software Team Lead with strong hands-on Java expertise to design, build, and lead development of SME-focused finance, payments, and lending platforms.
This is a technical leadership role for someone who can architect and deliver real-world transactional systems, lead engineers day-to-day, and work closely with product and business stakeholders in an international environment.
What You`ll Be Working On
** Lead the design and development of backend systems for payments, invoicing, settlements, reconciliations, and SME lending workflows
** Write production-grade Java code and set technical standards across the team
** Own system architecture, API design, data models, and service integrations
** Lead and mentor a software development team (code reviews, planning, technical guidance)
** Collaborate with product, finance, and operations teams to translate requirements into scalable systems
** Build secure, reliable, and auditable transactional systems
** Drive improvements in performance, stability, and automation
** Support release cycles and ensure high-quality production deployments
What We`re Looking For (Must Have)
** Strong hands-on experience with Java (backend development is core to this role)
** Proven experience leading a software development team or acting as a technical lead
** Experience building transactional systems (payments, financial platforms, lending, or similar)
** Solid understanding of: APIs (REST/JSON), Databases & data consistency, Transaction processing and error handling
** Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments
** Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice to Have/Strong Advantage:
** Vue.js experience (or other modern frontend frameworks)
** Experience with payments, fintech, or financial systems
** Exposure to SME lending, credit systems, or loan lifecycle management
** Experience with: Microservices architecture, CI/CD pipelines, Cloud environments
** Background working with international teams or platforms
