octa announces a vacancy for the position of Site Manager.

Position Objective

The Site Manager is the key figure in the execution of a construction project, responsible for the technical, organizational, and quality management of the construction site. The primary task of this role is the efficient planning and coordination of work according to construction documentation, adherence to the project schedule, making technical decisions, and ensuring that construction works are carried out to the highest standards. The Site Manager reports directly to the Technical Director and works closely with the Project Manager to ensure the successful execution of the project.

The Main Responsibilities

Technical Supervision:

** Oversee construction works to ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications, and quality standards
** Control the quality of completed works, materials, and technologies used
** Make technical decisions to resolve challenges arising during the construction process

Work Planning and Coordination:

** Prepare weekly work plans considering the type, volume, location of work, and available resources
** Define the sequence of construction activities to ensure the overall project schedule is met
** Coordinate the activities of the construction team, subcontractors, and suppliers according to Project Manager instructions

Quality and Safety Management:

** Monitor the quality of completed works, identify defects, and organize their correction
** Ensure compliance with labor protection and safety standards on the construction site
** Organize safety training and briefings for the team

Resource Management:

** Plan and monitor the efficient use of construction materials, equipment, and human resources
** Manage material supply and inventory to avoid delays
** Ensure project operations stay within the allocated budget and control costs in coordination with the Project Manager

Reporting and Documentation:

** Prepare regular reports on the progress, status, and challenges of construction works for the Technical Director and Project Manager
** Maintain and update construction documentation (logs, acts, drawings) accurately
** Prepare IPC (Interim Payment Certificate), verify the volumes of completed works
** Document work performed by subcontractors and suppliers

Problem Solving and Decision Making:

** Identify and resolve technical, logistical, or organizational issues arising during construction
** Manage changes in the project plan (Change Management) in coordination with the Project Manager and Technical Director.

Communication and Collaboration:

** Work closely with the Project Manager to implement project requirements and achieve client expectations and project goals
** Collaborate with all project stakeholders (architects, engineers, subcontractors, consultants) under Project Manager coordination
** Resolve conflicts and misunderstandings on-site to ensure effective team performance
** Maintain regular communication with the Project Manager regarding work progress, needs, and challenges

Accountability

** Reports directly to the Technical Director
** Responsible for the quality, timely execution, and budget compliance of construction works
** Ensures construction activities comply with local laws and regulations

Qualifications and Education

** Higher education in Civil Engineering
** Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Site Manager role
** Knowledge of construction standards and regulations
** Proficiency in MS Office and document management systems
