GENERAL MISSION:
ASTORIOS is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to lead the technical design and execution of solar power systems across industrial and commercial projects. The role encompasses system assessment, electrical design, and coordination with internal teams to ensure technical excellence and project success.
Candidates should demonstrate solid expertise in industrial power systems, a sound understanding of international electrical standards, and a strong commitment to advancing renewable energy technologies.
Activities and Expected Results:
** System Design & Equipment Selection - Perform load calculations, select optimal electrical equipment (inverters, panels, transformers), and design schematics and cable routes for rooftop and ground-mounted PV systems.
** Development of Project Documentation - Prepare comprehensive P & RP project documentation in accordance with local standards (GOST, PUE, SNiP) and international regulations (EN/IEC).
** Coordination & Implementation - Collaborate with technical teams, suppliers, and contractors to ensure accurate, safe, and compliant system execution throughout all project phases.
** Technical Documentation & Support - Develop and maintain ETR, AR, KM, and related documentation in line with local frameworks (e.g., Caucasus and Central Asia Region) and provide technical supervision during installation.
** Optimization & Compliance - Continuously improve system efficiency and reliability, ensuring full adherence to PUE, IEC, and other relevant standards while monitoring updates to regulatory requirements.
Internal/External Relationships:
** Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with the Chief Engineer, project management, and project implementation teams to ensure the successful design and execution of PV projects.
** Reporting Structure - Reports directly to the Chief Engineer with functional accountability to Top Management.
Required Professional and Behavioral Skills / Abilities:
Technical Expertise:
** Solid knowledge of regulatory frameworks, including GOST, PUE, and SNiP.
** Familiarity with European standards (EN/IEC) and their application to solar power systems.
** Understanding of solar energy system (SES) operations, PV plant architecture, and AC/DC electrical networks.
Software Proficiency:
** Proficient in AutoCAD and KOMPAS for electrical system design and drafting.
** Experience with solar design and simulation tools such as PVSyst, Helioscope, or PV*Sol for energy modeling and performance optimization.
Documentation & Design Skills:
** Ability to read, interpret, and prepare detailed technical documentation (ETR, AR, KM, Cable Management Systems).
** Strong attention to technical accuracy and completeness when working with drawings, diagrams, and specifications.
** Proven capability in equipment selection and design, including inverters, panels, transformers, and other key PV components.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Ability:
** Advanced analytical thinking for identifying and resolving technical issues.
** Capacity to optimize system designs for efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
** Innovative mindset toward implementing value-driven technical solutions.
Language Proficiency:
** Technical English proficiency (intermediate level or higher) required for communication, documentation, and daily project activities.
** Russian language proficiency will be considered an advantage due to the regional project scope across the Caucasus and Central Asia.
Behavioral & Interpersonal Skills:
** High sense of responsibility, accuracy, and attention to detail in all assigned tasks.
** Effective team collaboration and clear communication with diverse, multidisciplinary teams.
** Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
** Education and Experience
Education:
** Bachelor`s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Supply Design, or a closely related technical field.
** Possession of a valid certification authorizing work with electrical systems rated at 1000 volts and above.
Professional Experience:
** Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant engineering experience, ideally within the solar energy or renewable power sector.
** Demonstrated experience in project documentation, equipment selection, and electrical system design for industrial or commercial PV installations.
** Previous participation in international or cross-border projects will be considered a distinct advantage.
Additional Competencies (Preferred):
** Proficiency in solar design and simulation tools such as PVSyst, Helioscope, or PV*Sol.
** Working knowledge of international electrical standards (EN/IEC) and regional regulatory frameworks relevant to projects across the Caucasus and Central Asia.
