Position: Head of Finance
Role Description: Be part of the opening leadership team at AHG`s new hotel in Tbilisi! The Head of Finance will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the hotel, ensuring effective control systems, accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. This role partners closely with department heads to interpret financial results, provide guidance on cost control, maximize revenues, and support strategic decision-making to drive the hotel`s overall financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
** Lead all pre-opening financial activities, including financial system implementation, chart of accounts setup, and coordination of pre-opening budgets and CapEx with corporate and ownership teams.
** Monitor and approve all sales, purchases, payroll provisions, and hotel expenses.
** Analyze financial information and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, forecasts, and budgets.
** Identify deviations from budgets and recommend corrective actions to ensure financial stability.
** Develop and maintain internal control systems for income, expenses, assets, and liabilities in compliance with GAAP/IFRS and company standards.
** Ensure timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and proper storage of financial documentation.
** Oversee cash management, CapEx controls, and procurement processes to ensure transparency.
** Lead internal and external audits, ensuring follow-up and implementation of audit recommendations.
** Ensure compliance with company policies and local/national government regulations, including licenses, permits, and insurance.
** Recruit, train, and develop Finance Department staff, fostering continuous professional growth.
** Conduct performance reviews, set objectives, and support training and development initiatives.
** Provide financial insights and advice to department heads for effective decision-making.
** Support IT systems related to financial and operational reporting.
Qualifications:
** Proven experience in financial management within the hospitality industry.
** Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
** Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office applications.
** Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
** Native level of Georgian, fluency in English; Russian/Turkish desirable.
