We are seeking a Financial Manager to join our senior team. This is a full-time, senior-level position for a detail-oriented and dedicated professional who thrives in a dynamic nonprofit environment.

Position Summary:

The Financial Manager oversees the financial operations of MAC Georgia and ensures that all systems, procedures, and reports comply with Georgian legislation, donor requirements, and organizational policies. The role requires managing multiple budgets across programs and projects, ensuring that all financial activities are accurate, transparent, and aligned with laws, regulations, and donor expectations.
This position requires a strong work ethic, high attention to detail, flexibility, and a collaborative approach.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Compliance

** Support the development of strong financial record-keeping and reporting systems.
** Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including payroll, invoicing, and transactions.
** Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
** Prepare and oversee financial reporting for programs and projects, including internal reports, donor and grant reports, reconciliations, and project closeouts".
** Manage and monitor multiple budgets across programs and projects.
** Support the CEO in developing annual budgets and three-year financial projections.
** Review financial data to ensure alignment with donor regulations, Georgian laws, and MAC Georgia policies.
** Lead the budgeting process for new programs and projects.
** Conduct financial review of purchase requests, purchase orders, and payment requests.
** Serve as focal point for external audits and ensure timely preparation of documentation.
** Identify potential areas of financial risk and propose mitigation strategies.
** Prepare financial reports for the CEO and Board of Directors as scheduled.
** Grant & Donor Reporting
** Prepare and update quarterly grant spending reports (Budget vs. Actuals).
** Work with the CEO and Program Managers to ensure timely and accurate financial projections.
** Support subgrantee financial management, including pre-award assessments, contracting, payments, reconciliations, and compliance reviews.
** Assist in subgrantee site audits and follow-up on compliance issues.
** Organizational Leadership
** Contribute to MAC Georgia`s overall strategic planning and sustainability.
** Provide advice, training, and consultation to ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and donor requirements.
** Stay up to date with Georgian legislation and donor regulations.
** Support organizational culture that values teamwork, flexibility, and accountability.

Qualifications:

** University degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
** Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent) preferred.
** Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive financial management experience, preferably in nonprofits or international organizations.
** Strong knowledge of Georgian financial legislation, tax law, and nonprofit compliance requirements.
** Experience managing multiple budgets and preparing financial reports for donor-funded projects.
** Proficiency with accounting software preferred.
** Advanced MS Excel skills.
** Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Georgian and English.
** Ability to work independently, think creatively, and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
