Key Responsibilities:
The Fabrication Shop Supervisor will oversee all aspects of workshop operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to manage people, processes, and materials effectively.
Main Duties:
** Provide daily reports to management on project progress and ongoing activities.
** Take overall responsibility for planning, organizing, scheduling, and implementing all aspects of production.
** Manage projects from award to close-out, ensuring safety compliance, quality standards, adherence to schedule, and customer satisfaction.
** Organize and control production to meet project demands, ensuring all schedules align with requirements.
** Supervise workshop operations and monitor team efficiency to ensure projects are delivered within quoted and budgeted man-hours.
** Identify potential shortfalls in workshop capacity and promptly communicate with management; recommend overtime requirements when necessary.
** Update job status registers regularly to provide full visibility of progress to the wider team.
** Maintain awareness of upcoming workload to support forward production planning.
** Oversee material receipt, ensuring deliveries match paperwork and certificates; note defects or missing items and report to the office team.
** Collate and submit material delivery notes to the office daily.
** Oversee the entire production process from start to finish, ensuring smooth workflow and timely completion.
** Lead, coordinate, and supervise employees within the fabrication shop to ensure operations meet safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
** Proven experience as a Fabrication Shop Supervisor or similar supervisory role in manufacturing, fabrication, or oil & gas industries.
** Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, materials, and workshop practices.
** Knowledge of English to read the drawings and to communicate with personnel
** Excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
** Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team effectively.
** Good understanding of HSE regulations and commitment to enforcing safety procedures.
** Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schedules, and production requirements.
** Strong communication and reporting skills for liaising with management, office teams, and clients.
** Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify risks and implement corrective measures.
