Job Title: HVAC Technician
Reports To: Project Manager
Position Summary: The HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in residential, commercial, or industrial environments. This role ensures systems operate efficiently and in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
** Install new HVAC systems including ductwork, wiring, and thermostats.
** Perform routine maintenance on heating and cooling systems (e.g., changing filters, checking refrigerant levels, cleaning coils).
** Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC systems.
** Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
** Test systems for proper functioning and safety.
** Ensure compliance with local HVAC codes and regulations.
** Maintain accurate service records and reports.
** Communicate effectively with clients about system issues, repair options, and preventive maintenance.
** Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
Requirements:
** Proven experience as an HVAC technician or relevant role.
** Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and electrical components.
** Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics.
** Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
** Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
** Valid driver`s license reliable transportation will be a plus (in such case fuel expense will be covered.
** It is strongly desirable to have Official Certification of servicing refrigerant-operated equipment (successful candidates will be given 1 month period to pass corresponding exams and obtain such a certificate)
Work Environment:
** Work is done indoors and outdoors, often in extreme temperatures.
** May involve exposure to electrical hazards, dust, chemicals, and loud noises.
** Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
** Working days are Monday to Saturday, with a maximum of 40 working hours per week.
** In exceptional cases, overtime work may be required upon agreement with the employee and will be compensated according to the labor law of Georgia.
