POSITION: Coting / Corrosion Engineer (qt of vacancy: 1)
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
** Inspect the painting work.
** Ensure that surfaces are prepared to specification prior to the application of different coats of paint.
** Ensure that coatings are applied in the correct order, to the required thickness as per each Coating system of the specification.
Minimum Competency/Qualification Requirements:
** Bachelor`s degree in Corrosion Engineering, Coating Technology, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
** In-depth knowledge of coating systems, their application, and corrosion prevention methods.
Minimum Professional Experience:
** Familiarity with surface preparation and painting processes.
** Strong understanding of industrial coating technologies, materials, and standards (e.g., ISO 8501, ISO 12944).
** Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in coating inspection, preferably in oil, gas, or industrial sectors.
** Experience with surface preparation and coating application in compliance with safety standards.
** Experience in managing coating projects and inspecting corrosion-related issues.
Other Skills:
** Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting.
** Familiarity with coating inspection software and data management tools.
** Fluency in English (both written and verbal), especially to communicate effectively with international teams and report writing.
