Monthly Remuneration (Starting From):
** Professor: 4, 337 GEL
** Associate Professor: 3, 699 GEL
** Assistant Professor: 3, 061 GEL
** Assistant: 2, 423 GEL
Workload Categories:
Academic staff workload is divided into the following categories:
** Category A (Full-time): Includes contact teaching hours, research activities, and administrative responsibilities for affiliated academic staff.
** Category B (Part-time): Primarily consists of contact teaching hours with limited research activities, exam-related tasks, and consultations before and after exams for affiliated academic staff.
** Category C (Part-time): Includes contact teaching hours, exam-related tasks, and consultations before and after exams for non-affiliated academic staff.
** Affiliated academic staff can choose between Category A and B, while non-affiliated academic staff can opt for Category C.
** Details regarding workload and remuneration are provided in the Academic and Invited Staff Workload Regulations (Annex 1).
Competition Timeline
** Document submission: August 29-September 3, 2025
** Interview: September 4, 2025
** Mock lecture: September 5, 2025
** Appeal submission: September 8, 2025
** Candidate selection and contract signing: September 10, 2025
Academic Position Requirements:
Professor
** PhD or an equivalent academic degree.
** At least six years of teaching and research experience in a higher education institution.
** Conceptual vision for university research and/or educational program development.
** Published research articles in impact factor journals, presentations at international conferences, and an h-index of at least 3 is preferred (according to Google Scholar) in the last 10 years.
** Experience in implementing scientific or other projects.
** Active participation in professional development and teaching methodology enhancement.
** Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level according to the European Qualifications Framework).
Associate Professor
** PhD or an equivalent academic degree.
** At least three years of teaching and research experience in a higher education institution.
** Conceptual vision for educational module/component or university research development.
** Experience in implementing scientific or other projects.
** Published research articles in impact factor journals, presentations at international conferences, and an h-index of at least 2is preferred (according to Google Scholar) in the last 10 years.
** Active participation in professional development and teaching methodology enhancement.
** Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level according to the European Qualifications Framework).
Assistant Professor (Academic Track)
** PhD or an equivalent academic degree.
** Experience in developing or delivering courses and/or a vision for course development.
** Published research articles and presentations at international conferences in the last 10 years.
** Active participation in professional development and teaching methodology enhancement.
** Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level according to the European Qualifications Framework).
Assistant Professor (Professional Track - Clinical)
** One-stage medical/dental degree or equivalent higher education in the competition field.
** Knowledge of sector-specific challenges, proven by experience in a leading position within a professional association or as an industry expert.
** Relevant clinical experience, certification, and at least five years of clinical practice, with a minimum of 350 patients per year or 30 patients per month in the last three months before the competition announcement.
** Published research articles in peer-reviewed journals or conference presentations in the last 10 years.
** A clear vision for educational course development or at least one year of teaching experience.
** Active participation in professional development and teaching methodology enhancement.
** Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level according to the European Qualifications Framework).
Assistant Professor (Professional Track - Non-Clinical)
** Relevant higher education in the competition field.
** Expert knowledge of industry-specific challenges, supported by experience in managerial roles, regulatory bodies, or professional associations.
** Published research articles and presentations at international conferences in the last 10 years.
A clear vision for educational course development or at least one year of teaching experience.
** Active participation in professional development and teaching methodology enhancement.
** Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level according to the European Qualifications Framework).
Assistant
** PhD student in the relevant field.
** Published research articles and presentations at international conferences in the last 10 years.
** Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level according to the European Qualifications Framework).
Required Documents:
** Application form.
** Copy of ID or passport.
** Application form template.
** Two passport-size photos (3x4) or an electronic version.
** Copy of higher education and academic degree diploma (PhD or equivalent).
** Certificates of qualification enhancement (if applicable).
** Course syllabus or course plan.
** List of published research (last 10 years, max. 10 entries) with journal links or scanned first page and table of contents.
** Conference presentations (last 10 years, max. 10 entries) with links.
** One scientific paper published in the last 10 years.
** Proof of English proficiency.
** Criminal record certificate issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
Additional Documents:
For Professor Applicants:
** Conceptual vision for university research and/or educational program development.
** Proof of at least six years of teaching experience.
** Documentation of funded scientific or other projects (last 10 years).
** Information on the applicant`s scientific citation index.
For Associate Professor Applicants:
** Conceptual vision for educational module/component development.
** Proof of at least three years of teaching experience.
** Documentation of funded scientific or other projects (last 10 years).
** Information on the applicant`s scientific citation index.
For Assistant Professor (Clinical Track) Applicants:
** Proof of leadership or expert status in the healthcare sector.
** Medical/dental certification and proof of clinical experience (last 5 years).
** Documentation of patient workload.
For Assistant Professor (Non-Clinical Track) Applicants:
** Proof of managerial or regulatory experience in the field.
** For Assistant Applicants: Proof of PhD student status with research details.
