GENERAL MISSION:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Sales Manager to lead business development and sales activities for solar power plant projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the complete sales lifecycle from identifying new opportunities to finalizing contracts while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders in both the private and public sectors.
This role requires a strategic thinker with a solid background in industrial equipment B2B sales, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments to deliver tailored energy solutions that meet client and company objectives.
Activities and Expected Results:
** Business Development & Opportunity Identification - Proactively identify, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities in both the private and public sectors. Assess potential markets, project feasibility, and client needs to generate qualified leads aligned with the company`s renewable energy portfolio.
** End-to-End Sales Management - Manage the entire project sales lifecycle from initial prospecting and needs assessment to preparing customized solutions, leading client meetings, negotiating terms, and securing signed contracts. Ensure a professional, consultative approach that delivers value to clients and maximizes deal success.
** Client Relationship Management - Cultivate and strengthen long-term relationships with key industry stakeholders, including developers, consultants, EPC contractors, utility partners, and decision-makers. Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding their objectives and offering tailored, technically sound energy solutions.
** Cross-Functional Coordination - Collaborate closely with internal teams, particularly engineering, finance, legal, and project development, to structure competitive commercial and technical proposals. Ensure all offers meet both client requirements and internal profitability goals.
** Market Representation & Promotion - Act as a brand ambassador by representing the company at industry conferences, exhibitions, and networking events. Present our capabilities and solutions to a wider audience, and contribute to thought leadership in the renewable energy space.
** Market Intelligence & Strategy Alignment - Continuously monitor industry developments, including market trends, regulatory changes, competitive activity, and technological advancements. Provide actionable insights that inform and refine the company`s go-to-market strategy.
** Performance & Target Achievement - Consistently meet or exceed assigned sales targets and project acquisition goals. Contribute to the company`s broader strategic objectives by securing high-quality projects, increasing market share, and reinforcing our leadership in sustainable energy solutions.
Internal/External Relationships:
** Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Back Office for seamless deal execution.
** Report regularly to senior management on sales performance and strategic opportunities.
** Represent the company externally with a high degree of professionalism.
Required Professional and Behavioral Skills/Abilities:
** Leadership: Proven leadership in project-based sales and managing cross-functional teams.
** Strong Communication: Exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills.
** Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills for managing the sales cycle and identifying opportunities.
** Multitasking & Prioritization: Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks under pressure.
** Language Proficiency: Fluent in English and Georgian; additional regional languages are a plus.
** Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience with MS Office tools, particularly Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
** Problem-Solving: Ability to think strategically and deliver tailored energy solutions.
Education and Experience
** Education: Bachelor`s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields.
** Experience: A minimum of 5 years in B2B sales, preferably in energy, infrastructure, or industrial sectors.
** Experience in renewable energy or solar project development is preferable.
