Batumi International Container Terminal is pleased to announce an opening for the position of Purchasing Officer.
Location: Batumi
Key Responsibilities:
** Sourcing local and international suppliers for spare parts, materials, and services
** Negotiating prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules
** Issuing Purchase Orders (POs) in SAP based on approved Purchase Requisitions
** Preparing contracts for purchases and services
** Updating the vendor master list in SAP and monitoring purchasing statuses
** Ensuring timely delivery of orders and coordination with suppliers
** Ensuring proper documentation (invoices, tax documents) and forwarding it to the Finance Department
** Preparing reports on variances between POs and supplier invoices
** Accrediting suppliers and evaluating their performance annually
** Organizing tenders/auctions for purchases and services
** Updating purchasing policies in line with corporate and global procedures
** Performing other tasks assigned by local management or global procurement.
Requirements:
** Experience in purchasing and supply chain is considered an advantage
** Strong communication skills
** Team player, detail-oriented, and highly responsible
** Experience working with SAP is considered an advantage.
Language Skills:
** Georgian — required
** English — required
** Russian — preferred.
