About the Position
We are looking for a highly qualified and detail-oriented Head Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring financial transparency, accuracy, and compliance across the organization. The Chief Accountant will report directly to the General Manager and will be responsible for leading the entire accounting function, ensuring compliance with Georgian tax legislation, and supporting internal departments with financial insights.

Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Operations
** Maintain accurate records of company revenues, expenses, and supplier settlements
** Oversee accounting for fixed assets, inventory, fuel, and foreign currency revaluation
** Process and reconcile monthly service invoices and procurement documentation
Payroll & Settlements
** Calculate and process monthly payroll, taxes, and employee reimbursements
** Ensure accurate and lawful execution of payroll and business trip settlements
** Prepare internal payroll reports and maintain confidentiality
Tax and Financial Reporting
** Prepare and file VAT, profit tax, and other local tax declarations on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis Analyze import VAT and VAT on sales, including zero-rated and prorated VAT calculations
** Submit statistical and financial reports in compliance with state requirements
Month-End & Year-End Closing
** Execute monthly closings including account reconciliations, accruals, depreciation, and inventory adjustments
** Assist in annual financial statement preparation and external audit coordination
** Internal Support & Cross-Functional Collaboration
** Advise internal teams on tax and accounting-related matters
** Participate in process improvements with IT and support documentation for operations
** Collaborate with banks, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders
Compliance & Documentation
** Stay updated on changes in Georgian tax legislation and ensure timely application
** Respond to inquiries from auditors, government institutions, and management
** Support internal audits and enforce financial control measures
Qualifications & Skills:
** Bachelor`s or Master`s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
** Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a leadership position
** Strong command of Georgian accounting and tax regulations
** Proficiency in accounting software 1C and strong Excel skills
** Analytical mindset with high attention to detail
** Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
** Fluent in Georgian; English
