We`re hiring a Purchasing Specialist to join our team at Hampton by Hilton in Batumi Center! If you`re an organized and resourceful procurement professional with a strong eye for cost control, supplier relationships, and inventory management, this is your chance to connect with us.
Job Overview:
As a Purchasing Specialist, you will support the Finance Manager by managing the procurement of goods and services essential to the hotel`s daily operations. You`ll ensure all purchasing activities are cost-effective, timely, and compliant with established standards as well as local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
** Accepts all purchased products into the hotel, verifying accuracy of delivery to purchase orders.
** Maintains storeroom in accordance with standards and rotates stock accordingly.
** Issues and delivers items to departments in accordance with the requisition policies and procedures.
** Participates in month end procedures and conducts inventories where necessary.
** Ensure all purchasing activities align with hotel policies and procedures.
** Obtain at least three competitive quotes from suppliers to ensure the best value for the hotel.
** Coordinate with suppliers and vendors, gather product specifications, quotations, and handle negotiations to secure the best deals.
** Place orders with suppliers, track delivery schedules, and ensure timely receipt of goods to meet operational requirements.
** Conduct market surveys to stay updated on price trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
** Review contracts with suppliers periodically to ensure prices remain competitive and ensure you are aware of competitor pricing on similar products..
** Ensure all relevant documentation (purchase orders, invoices, delivery dockets, etc.) is promptly submitted to Accountant.
** Take on additional tasks as needed to support the smooth operation of the purchasing function.
Cross-Functional Support:
** Collaborate with operational departments to ensure smooth purchasing processes and provide assistance with procurement needs when necessary.
** Assist the Finance Manager in tracking purchase budgets, controlling costs
Qualifications & Experience:
** Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
** Strong communication and negotiation skills.
** Ability to work collaboratively with different departments.
Working Conditions:
Job site: Batumi.
Employment type: Monday to Friday/full time job.
Remuneration: by agreement.
