We`re hiring an Accountant to join our team at Hampton by Hilton in Batumi Center! Job Overview:
As an Accountant, you will support the Finance Manager by performing a range of general accounting duties to ensure that all financial processes are accurate, timely, and compliant with both Hilton brand standards and local regulations. Working within a focused-service hotel model, you`ll be a hands-on balancing daily financial operations while collaborating with other departments to help the hotel run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
** General Accounting & Reporting
** Prepare and post journal entries for daily transactions and month-end closing.
** Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliations.
** Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports.
** Ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards, local accounting regulations, and internal control policies.
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
** Responsible for the preparation and submission of tax declarations, ensuring compliance with deadlines and regulations.
** Ensure all invoices have supporting documentation attached before approval or payment.
** Properly record, reconcile, and prepare invoices for payment, ensuring correct cost center codes are used
** Balance suppliers` monthly statements with the hotel`s accounts payable records and follow up on missing invoices or credit notes.
** Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on outstanding balances.
** Assist with petty cash handling.
** Maintain an up-to-date filing system and handle all requests and inquiries in a timely and friendly manner.
** Income Audit & General Cashier
** Review daily revenue reports to ensure accuracy of postings from Front Office and F&B outlets.
** Verify all revenue streams (room, food & beverage, other hotel services) are properly recorded and reconciled.
** Prepare daily income audit reports for review by the Finance Manager and General Manager.
** Collect and count cash drops from all hotel revenue centers in accordance with Hilton policies.
** Prepare daily bank deposits and ensure all cash handling procedures are followed securely.
Cross-Functional Support:
** Work closely with operational departments to support financial procedures and provide guidance where needed.
** Assist the Finance Manager with budget tracking, cost control, and process improvements.
** Perform any other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager or hotel management.
Qualifications & Experience:
** Bachelor`s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
** Minimum 2-3 years of accounting experience, ideally in the hospitality industry
** Experience with accounting systems (e.g., SUN, SAP, Opera, or other hotel PMS/financial platforms) is a plus
Skills & Competencies:
** Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
** Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
** Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office application.
** Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions:
Job site: Batumi.
Employment type: Monday to Friday/full time job.
Remuneration: by agreement.
