Investment Officer (Financial Inclusion Debt) in Tbilisi
This role is designed for an experienced investment professional with in-depth expertise in microfinance, SME finance, and the leasing sector. The role involves end-to-end responsibility for investment activities in the Eastern European region, with a strong strategic focus on expanding responsAbility`s presence and business partnerships in Middle Eastern markets.
Your Main Tasks:
** Development and growth of responsAbility`s financial sector debt investments across the EECCA and MENA regions, with a strong focus on scaling activities in Middle Eastern countries.
** Conduct credit risk assessments of financial institutions and market environments in the region, including both on-site and remote due diligence and scoring exercises.
** Collaborate with internal stakeholders—such as risk management, investment committee, and transaction teams—as well as external partners to structure and execute transactions.
** Manage the full investment lifecycle: sourcing, due diligence, structuring, execution, portfolio monitoring, and relationship management.
** Represent responsAbility at regional conferences, industry events where appropriate and required.
** Frequent travel across the regions is required.
Your Experience and Skills:
** Degree in economics, finance, business administration, or a related field; an advanced degree (e.g., MBA, Master`s) is preferred.
** More than five years of relevant experience in the financial sector within an international environment; experience in financial inclusion and impact investing, including some acquired in connection with the MENA region, would be a strong advantage.
** Expertise in microfinance, SME finance, and leasing, with an experience of managing complex investment processes.
** Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with a strategic mindset and demonstrated business development capabilities.
** Flexible and self-reliant personality who enjoys and is able to work in an international environment.
** Business proficiency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Arabic would be a strong asset.
** Strong interest in impact investing and sustainable finance.
