Only applicants meeting the minimum eligibility criteria will be considered: secondary education attested by a diploma complemented by relevant vocational training in the area of mechanic/motor vehicle technician giving access to post-secondary education and after having fulfilled the education requirements, a minimum of 5 years of relevant and proven full-time professional experience in the private and/or public sector.

Salary Level: As per the EU rules for the Locally Employed Staff of the European Union Delegation to Georgia.
Job Description
1. Reporting Line
The post holder reports to the Head of Transport (HoT).
2. Main Tasks and Responsibilities
** To be responsible for the routine maintenance of the EUMM rented or owned vehicle fleet by checking assigned vehicles on a regular basis;
** To carry out the daily first line vehicle servicing, preventive and corrective maintenance including complex repairs as required;
** To be able to perform diagnosis checks using electronic tools;
** To complete the necessary EUMM transportation documentation;
** To carry out specialised driving duties in connection with recovery operations, rescue and on the spot repair of vehicles;
** To assist in the distribution of vehicle equipment and supplies throughout the Mission area by complying with the instructions;
** To assist in managing the outsourced vehicle maintenance workshops including technical assessment of the workshop, ensuring quality control of repairs and maintenance as well as safety condition of the vehicles;
** To assist in monitoring the overall performance of the workshop ensuring the appropriate maintenance of individual types based on the age and technical performance of each make/model;
** To assist in proposing withdrawal of vehicles from service, if they are considered not to be roadworthy;
** To conduct basic and initial accident damage assessments, to analyse the damages pattern, to operate the recovery and mobile workshop trucks;
** To provide technical recommendations as necessary on various Transport matters within his/her area of competence;
** To undertake any other related tasks as requested by the Line Manager (s).
Essential Qualifications and Experience
** Successful completion of secondary education attested by a diploma complemented by relevant vocational training in the area of vehicle mechanic/motor technician giving access to post-secondary education; AND
** After having fulfilled the education requirements, a minimum of 5 years of relevant and proven full-time professional experience as vehicle mechanic/technician repairing internal combustion engines;
** To be in possession of valid category B and C driving licenses, including clean record of driving history (if not in possession, C category driving license must be obtained during 6 months` probationary period at the successful candidate`s own expense);
** Enjoy full civil rights and do not have a criminal record;
** Physical fitness to perform the duties relating to the post. Such physical fitness should be attested by a medical certificate.
4. Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
** Fluency in Georgian and ability to communicate in English language;
** A self-starter. To have a strong sense of initiative, responsibility and autonomy;
** To have a pro-active and solution-oriented attitude;
** To deliver work on time and to agreed standards, even under pressure;
** To build productive and cooperative working relationships in a diverse working environment;
** Ability to write and communicate in a clear and concise manner;
** To have integrity, and the ability to adhere to EU fundamental values and standards.
5. Desirable Qualifications and Experience
** Professional experience in an International organisation working with people from diverse backgrounds;
** Experience as an operator of recovery trucks;
** Certificate of qualification as technician/mechanic.
6. Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
** To be in possession of valid categories D and E driving license;
** Specific knowledge of diesel generators.
** Knowledge of Russian language (oral and written).
Note: This is a contracted position (Function Group IV), governed by General Service Conditions of Local Staff employed by EUMM Georgia, serving in Georgia.
The work schedule for this position is: Full Time (40 hours per week).
The successful candidate will be based in EUMM Field Office Gori, however s/he will be required to travel on duty to other EUMM locations (Tbilisi, Zugdidi) as necessary.
Gross Salary: 3, 110 GEL per month or higher, depending on the relevant and proven past professional experience of the successful candidate acquired after fulfilment of educational requirements of the post.
