British-Georgian Academy & British International School of Tbilisi is pleased to announce an opening for the position of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Team Lead.

About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Team Lead to oversee and enhance health, safety, and environmental standards across the British-Georgian Academy and the British International School of Tbilisi. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with local regulations, and creating a safe and healthy environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Health & Safety Management:
** Develop, implement, and enforce health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with local and international regulations.
** Conduct risk assessments and safety audits across both campuses.
** Ensure emergency response plans, fire drills, and evacuation procedures are in place and regularly tested.
** Monitor and enforce health and hygiene standards in school facilities, including the cafeteria and medical areas.
** Oversee accident and incident reporting procedures and lead investigations where necessary.
2. Technical & Maintenance Oversight:
** Supervise the technical and maintenance teams to ensure all school infrastructure, equipment, and utilities are functioning properly.
** Develop preventive maintenance programs to extend the lifecycle of facilities and equipment.
** Oversee renovation and construction projects, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
** Ensure compliance with local building codes and environmental regulations.
3. Car Fleet Management:
** Oversee the operation and maintenance of the school`s car fleet.
** Ensure the safety and compliance of all vehicles with local transportation laws.
** Implement and maintain driver safety programs.
4. Medical & Hygiene Supervision:
** Manage school doctors and ensure medical facilities are well-equipped and compliant with health regulations.
** Develop policies for handling student and staff medical emergencies.
** Oversee the hygiene and sanitation standards across both campuses, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
5. Security & Safety Compliance:
** Supervise security personnel to ensure the safety of students, staff, and visitors.
** Implement and maintain security protocols, including access control, surveillance, and incident response plans.
** Conduct regular security training for staff and security teams.
6. Cafeteria & Food Safety Management:
** Oversee cafeteria operations, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
** Work with cafeteria staff to develop nutritious and balanced meal plans.
** Conduct periodic food safety inspections and quality control checks.
Requirements:
** Degree and/or experience in Occupational Health & Safety, or Management
** Proven experience in an EHS role, preferably in an educational or corporate setting.
** Strong knowledge of local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
** Excellent communication and training skills.
** Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
** Ability to work independently and collaboratively with different school departments.
