In Georgia DVV International is operating through its Country office since 2002. Since establishing presence in Georgia, DVV International has worked closely with local partners, government bodies and educational institutions to advance adult learning and civic engagement across the country. The office focuses on building a strong adult education system, supporting lifelong learning programs and promoting social inclusion and active citizenship. Through initiatives with Adult Learning and Education centers, DVV International Georgia empowers communities, particularly in rural and underserved regions, by offering essential skills and opportunities for personal and community development. DVV International`s programs in Georgia are funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, the EU and other international donors.
DVV International Georgia is seeking two experienced Project Coordinators to join our team.
Position 1. Project Coordinator (Macro-level)
The Macro-Level Project Coordinator will focus on policy development, working directly with government structures, educational authorities and other stakeholders to support policy advocacy and integrate adult learning and education into national frameworks. Additionally, this coordinator will serve as the focal point for DVV International`s website and external communications, regularly updating content and coordinating with other team members to share news and progress with their projects.
Key Responsibilities:
** Collaborate with government bodies and policy-makers to strengthen adult education and lifelong learning strategies
** Lead initiatives that promote ALE policies at the national level, supporting DVV International`s mission to foster educational reform.
** Coordinate multi-stakeholder meetings, workshops, and forums with national and international partners.
** Engage in proposal writing and budget planning to secure and manage funding.
** Contribute to research and policy documents to advance adult education goals.
** Website and Communications: Regularly update the website with project news, achievements, and reports. Act as the focal point for HQ on website content and coordinate with other team members to gather information and news updates.
Position 2: Project Coordinator (Micro-level)
The Micro-Level Project Coordinator will work directly with ALE centers across Georgia, ensuring effective program implementation at the grassroots level. This position involves hands-on coordination with community centers, trainers and regional partners.
Key Responsibilities:
** Oversee and support ALE center activities, ensuring alignment with DVV International`s educational goals and objectives.
** Organise and when needed - facilitate training sessions, workshops and educational events in collaboration with regional partners.
** Assist in developing and implementing localized curricula tailored to community needs.
** Support budgeting and reporting for regional ALE projects.
** Conduct regular site visits and coordinate communication between ALE centers and DVV International Georgia.
** Engage in proposal writing and budget planning to secure and manage funding
Qualifications and Requirements (for both positions):
** Language Skills: Excellent command of English (both written and spoken); knowledge of German is an asset.
** Experience: Multi-year experience in proposal writing, budgeting and project management.
** Education: Background in Education, Social Sciences, Public Policy or related fields preferred.
** Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
** Other: Valid driver`s license and willingness to travel within Georgia.
