Qualifications Requirements:
** Education - A degree in maritime studies, marine engineering, or a related field is required. Professional certification in marine inspection or safety is a plus.
** Experience - Prior experience in the maritime industry, shipbuilding, or marine engineering is required.
** Knowledge of Regulations - Strong understanding of national and international maritime regulations, such as those set by the IMO (International Maritime Organization).
** Attention to Details - Ability to spot safety hazards and non-compliance issues during inspections.
** Problem-Solving Skills - Capability to provide effective solutions and recommendations for improving safety and compliance.
** Communication - Good written and verbal communication in Georgian, English and Russian.
** Physical Stamina - Ability to maneuver in tight spaces on vessels.
Main Responsibilities:
** Participate and control safety requirements for the works carried out in water area, shoreline and Port area.
** Knowing the Permit to Work (PTW) system applied for marine operations.
** Knowing Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) requirements.
** Conduct safety audits of maritime facilities and vessels to assess compliance with safety management systems.
** Ensure vessels adhere to international and national regulations, such as SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea), MARPOL (Marine Pollution), and ISM (International Safety Management).
** Identify potential hazards, assess risks, and recommend corrective actions to enhance the safety of vessels and crews.
** Participate in the investigation of marine incidents and accidents, determining causes and making recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
** Maintain detailed records of inspections, audits, and investigations.
** Work closely with vessels to address safety concerns.
** Provide internal training and guidance to vessel crews, personnel working in marine environment on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and regulatory compliance.
Salary and other conditions:
** Monthly salary (to be determined by the agreement between the parties);
** Working period: each day of the week except weekends and official holidays, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (break is not included in the work time);
