Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB) is one of the biggest and oldest German aid and welfare organization with more than one million members. Since its foundation in 1888, ASB has acted as a politically and denominationally independent association. With its first international mission in 1921, the area of foreign aid became an integral part of the organization. Currently, ASB has 11 foreign offices and implementing programs in more than 20 countries. ASB, through its officially registered country office in Georgia, implemented several EU, German, and US government-funded projects related to: inclusive disaster risk reduction, provision of social services, improvement of economic and livelihood conditions, resocialization of persons in conflict with the law, confidence building, as well as humanitarian assistance to IDPs, conflict-affected population and other vulnerable groups, etc.
Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB) is pleased to announce a full-time position of a Project Assistant - Georgia
Duration: December 2024 to June 2025
Position Type: Temporary replacement during maternity leave
Location: ASB Office in Tbilisi
Duties and Responsibilities:
** Assists in the implementation of the project activities.
** Organising project related meetings, online and offline.
** Work closely with the project partners, beneficiaries and respective communities.
** Follow-up, on daily basis, with project partners and donors, to guarantee smooth implementation of the project.
** Maintain up-to-date files and records of project documentation.
** Provide logistical support for the workshops and meetings.
** Organize field visits.
** Assist in preparation of progress reports, donor reports, project reviews, financial reports, audit reports and any other required project reports.
** Perform any other project related tasks assigned by the management.
Qualification and Experience Required:
** At least 2 years working experience on the similar position in international organization or local NGO.
** Experience in working with vulnerable people.
** Strong organizational skills.
** Good communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
** General flexibility and ability to multi-task.
** High sense of responsibility.
** Flexibility to travel.
** Excellent computer literacy
** Excellent knowledge of English and Georgian languages
** Motivated to serve socially vulnerable population. Demonstrates integrity, loyalty and understanding of main humanitarian principles.
