Role Description:
This is a full-time remote role for a PHP Developer Team Lead. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of talented PHP developers and overseeing the day-to-day tasks associated with software development and web applications. The team consists of three back-end developers, two front-end developers, designers, testers, and in coordination with the company founders. You will also be involved in code review and programming tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
** Lead the development and execution of software projects, ensuring high quality, reliability, and scalability.
** Lead closely with the team to design, develop, and deploy robust software solutions.
** Take ownership of complex technical challenges and provide innovative solutions.
** Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
** Work closely with the direction team to align technical strategies with the company`s objectives.
** Implement project management tools to streamline project planning, execution, and monitoring.
** Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies.
** Ensure that software development follows best practices and coding standards.
** Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
** Participate in product meetings and demos with potential customers.
Requirements:
** Proficiency in English is mandatory for effective communication within our international team.
** Expertise in the CakePHP framework or similar (+10 years).
** Strong organizational and project management skills.
** A minimum of 10 years of experience in software development.
** Proven experience in leading software development projects.
** Proven experience in leading IT teams.
** Ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team.
** Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
** Knowledge of best practices in software development, including design patterns, code reviews, and testing.
** A commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
** Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
