The University of Georgia is pleased to announce an open competition for academic positions in the following disciplines:
School of Social Sciences
** Associate Professor in Clinical Psychology (1 vacancy)
** Associate Professor in Psychology (2 vacancies)
** Assistant Professor in Psychology (1 vacancy)
School of Science and Technology
** Professor in Engineering Chemistry (1 vacancy) *Special requirement: Proficiency in English for lecturing purposes
Selection Process:
1. Criteria for Evaluation:
** Educational Qualification: Doctorate degree required
** Experience: Minimum of six years for professors and three years for associate professors in scientific and pedagogical work
** Publications: Priority will be given to candidates with publications in Scopus-indexed journals over the past five years
2. Additional Considerations:
** Quality and relevance of syllabus, learning outcomes, and achievement methods
** Vision for research activities at the University of Georgia
** Participation in relevant conferences and seminars within the last five years
** Engagement in professional development activities
** Proficiency in office technology
Required Documentation:
** Official application addressed to the competition commission, specifying the desired position
** Completed University of Georgia application forms in both Georgian and English
** ID card copy
** Academic degree certification (with translations and notarizations as necessary)
** Record of scientific and pedagogical experience
** State certification for independent medical practice (clinical positions only)
** List and copies of publications
** English proficiency certificate (if applicable)

Additional Provisions:
** Candidates may be requested to deliver a demo lecture
** Successful candidates will need to associate with the University of Georgia, including verifying their Google Scholar profile and establishing an official university email
Application Submission: Applications are accepted from July 26 to July 29, 2024, either via email at academicvacancy@ug.edu.ge or physically at the University`s address in Tbilisi, Kostava St. #77а, Building 4, Room #514, 0171.
Competition Dates: The selection process will take place on August 1 and 2, 2024. Appeals against the committee`s decisions can be submitted by August 5, 2024. Winners will be announced on August 7, 2024, on the university`s website.
Publication and Appeal: The announcement is available on www.ug.edu.ge and www.jobs.ge. Decisions can be appealed within 30 days at the court located at Tbilisi, D. Agmashenebeli Alley No. 6, 12th km, 0131.
