Ilia State University

Ilia State University (ISU) was established in 2006 on the basis of Ilia Chavchavadze State University of Language and Culture and Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani State Pedagogical University. Later, Sprots Academy, D. Guramishvili Pedagogical College, Jakob Gogebashvili Pedagogical Research Instittute, Evgeniy Kharadze Abastumani National Astrophysics Observatory, Seismic Monitoring Center and the Institute of Zoology were integrated with ISU.
