GFMTA is looking for a Treasury Operations Manager to build and lead the Treasury Operations Center for the Shared Treasury Management System (TMS) project. The TMS is a jointly procured, multi-institution implementation of Nasdaq Calypso - a leading capital markets platform - deployed on a shared, multi-tenant basis for five Georgian commercial banks and hosted on National Bank of Georgia (NBG) infrastructure. The project is now entering active implementation.

The Treasury Operations Center is GFMTA`s permanent operational capability for the Calypso platform. It serves as the first line of response for all Calypso issues across all participating banks - triaging, resolving where possible, and escalating to Nasdaq or NBG (Level 2/3) where not. This is not a project-term position: it begins during the implementation phase to allow ramp-up and knowledge acquisition alongside the Nasdaq delivery team and continues as a permanent management role for the operational life of the system.

During implementation, the Treasury Operations Manager works under the supervision of the Project Director, builds deep platform knowledge through proximity to the Nasdaq delivery team and via a structured knowledge transfer program led by the Senior Treasury Lead. The Treasury Operations Manager assumes full operational leadership of the Treasury Operations Center.

Engagement Terms:

** Engagement type: Full-time, on-site, permanent employment with GFMTA
** Reports to: Project Director during the project phase; Executive Secretary of the GFMTA from the operational phase.
** Start requirement: Immediate - Before implementation begins - ramp-up during the Execution phase is essential

Key Responsibilities:

During Implementation

** Shadow the Nasdaq implementation team and the GFMTA`s implementation PM; build deep working knowledge of Calypso configuration, data structures, and operational workflows.
** Participate in the Senior Treasury Lead`s structured knowledge transfer program.
** Manage real-time issue triage during SIT and UAT.
** Recruit, onboard, and develop the Treasury Operations Analyst team.
** Build and maintain knowledge base documentation as Calypso configuration knowledge is acquired.

From Go-Live

** Lead the Treasury Operations Center as the permanent operational team supporting all participating banks.
** Manage the daily support queue; own the escalation path to Nasdaq or NBG Level 2/3.
** Oversee each bank`s rollout cycle during progressive deployment, applying Bank 1 lessons to reduce effort and risk.
** Maintain and develop Treasury Operations Center procedures, configuration documentation, and the team knowledge base.
** Coordinate with NBG`s infrastructure team on environment issues affecting Calypso availability; manage scheduled maintenance windows across all bank tenants.
** Manage the Treasury Operations Analyst team: performance, development, and capacity planning.

Required Competences:

Essential

** Working knowledge of treasury operations in in-scope asset classes (FX, fixed income, money market, derivatives, or repo/securities finance).
** Experience in a team lead or supervisory role in a treasury, capital markets, or financial technology operations environment.
** Structured approach to issue management: triage, escalation, and resolution in a multi-client or multi-product environment.
** Understanding of SWIFT messaging (MT/MX), settlement workflows, and nostro reconciliation.
** English proficiency for written communication with Nasdaq support teams; Georgian required for communication with bank staff.
** Willingness and ability to build Calypso platform expertise from scratch during the implementation phase.

Desirable

** Prior experience in a treasury or middle/back office role at a Georgian or regional commercial bank.
** Familiarity with any TMS or capital markets platform (Calypso, Murex, Kondor, Finastra, or equivalent).
** Experience managing a support or service delivery team.
** Familiarity with IFRS 9 accounting treatment for financial instruments.

What Success Looks Like:

The Treasury Operations Center is operational and independently triaging Calypso issues before Bank 1`s go-live. The proportion of issues resolved without Nasdaq escalation increases consistently as the team deepens its configuration knowledge. All six banks receive responsive, consistent first-line support throughout the rollout period and beyond. The Treasury Operations Center becomes GFMTA`s primary institutional knowledge repository for the Calypso platform.
