Position Title: National Implementation Director for Georgia Early Childhood Education Programs

Location: Georgia (national role with travel to regions)
Reports to: Project Lead / Senior Program Director
Salary: US $7, 000 per month
Duration: May 1, 2026 - December 31, 2026

Position Overview:

The National Implementation Director will lead the implementation and expansion of professional development, curriculum training, and higher education strengthening initiatives for early childhood education systems in Georgia. The position focuses on scaling an integrated model of training, coaching, and reflective practice for educators, supporting the rollout of the finalized national ECE curriculum, and strengthening university-based teacher preparation programs.

The role will coordinate partnerships among municipalities, preschool institutions, universities, and international partners to improve educator practice, strengthen institutional capacity, and ensure sustainable professional learning systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Expansion of Professional Development Training and Coaching:

** Lead the expansion of professional development training and classroom coaching programs for early childhood educators and kindergarten directors.
** Coordinate the rollout of training and coaching across participating municipalities and new regions.
** Facilitate training sessions and oversee the delivery of a five-day intensive professional learning program for educators and school leaders.
** Organize and manage a regional coaching system to support the implementation of child-centered and inclusive pedagogy in classrooms.
** Support the extension of training to underserved communities, including ethnic minority regions.
** Collaborate with municipal authorities and preschool leaders to ensure institutional participation and alignment with accreditation requirements.

Development and Implementation of Curriculum Training Modules:

** Lead the development of new professional development modules aligned with the finalized national early childhood curriculum.
** Design and coordinate a blended learning pathway consisting of:

** face-to-face training programs
** online learning modules
** webinar-based introductory sessions.

** Develop detailed training session plans, instructional materials, and facilitator guides.
** Coordinate the delivery of regional webinar series introducing curriculum modules.
** Ensure training materials translate curriculum concepts such as:

** play-based learning
** educator-child interaction
** thematic and project-based approaches
** reflective teaching practice.

** Work with trainers to ensure high-quality facilitation and participant engagement.

Strengthening Early Childhood Education Programs in Universities:

** Collaborate with universities offering Early Childhood Education bachelor`s programs.
** Support curriculum alignment between university coursework and the national early childhood curriculum.
** Develop partnerships between universities and preschool practicum sites.
** Design and deliver professional development opportunities for university faculty in early childhood pedagogy and supervision of student teachers.
** Support the development of teaching resources, case studies, and observation tools for use in university courses.
** Facilitate collaboration and professional learning networks among ECE programs across universities.

Conducting a National Needs Assessment:

** Lead a targeted needs assessment examining the capacity of early childhood teacher preparation programs.
** Analyze gaps in:

** teacher competencies
** faculty expertise
** regional access to training
** practicum structures and partnerships.
** Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data from universities, municipalities, and preschool systems.
** Produce a comprehensive report outlining key findings and recommendations for system strengthening.
** Use findings to guide strategic program development and future investments.
** Coordinate professional learning opportunities in quality assurance.

Additional Responsibilities:

** Coordinate project implementation with national and international partners.
** Oversee monitoring, evaluation, and documentation of program outcomes.
** Facilitate conferences, workshops, and professional learning communities.
** Develop reports and communication materials for stakeholders and funders.
** Support the sustainability and scaling of effective professional learning models.

Qualifications:

Education

** Master`s or doctoral degree in Early Childhood Education, Education Policy, Teacher Education, or related field.

Experience

** 8+ years of experience in early childhood education or teacher professional development.
** Experience designing and delivering professional learning programs.
** Experience working with universities or teacher preparation programs.
** Experience managing education projects at regional or national scale.

Skills:

** Expertise in early childhood pedagogy and curriculum implementation.
** Strong facilitation and coaching skills.
** Experience with blended learning and online training systems.
** Research and program evaluation skills.
** Excellent collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

** Experience working in international development or donor-funded education projects.
** Experience supporting education systems reform.
** Familiarity with multilingual and multicultural education contexts.
