We are currently looking for an Senior IT Specialist in Tbilisi who will be responsible for the overall management and maintenance of the hotel`s IT systems, ensuring smooth daily operations, system security, and timely technical support for all departments. The role involves overseeing hardware and software performance, troubleshooting issues, managing network infrastructure, and ensuring that all technology solutions align with hotel standards and operational needs.
Key responsibilities of the Senior IT Specialist include, but are not limited to:
** Overseeing the daily operation, maintenance, and performance of all hotel IT systems, hardware, and network infrastructure;
** Ensuring proper installation, configuration, and ongoing functionality of computer systems and related technologies;
** Providing timely technical support and troubleshooting for all departments;
** Managing system security, user access, passwords, and data protection in line with company standards;
** Monitoring and maintaining backups, recovery procedures, and IT security protocols;
** Coordinating with external vendors and service providers for IT support, maintenance, and upgrades;
** Ensuring all systems are covered by appropriate maintenance contracts and preventive servicing;
** Maintaining up-to-date inventory of all IT equipment and assets;
** Installing, testing, and implementing software updates and system enhancements;
** Supporting and maintaining key hotel systems, including PMS, POS, accounting, and communication systems;
** Monitoring network performance, including LAN/WAN, switches, cabling, and connectivity;
** Preparing regular reports on system performance, incidents, and improvements;
** Keeping up to date with new technologies and recommending improvements to enhance operational efficiency;
** Ensuring compliance with IT security policies, fire safety, and operational procedures;
** Supporting internal training and guiding staff on proper use of IT systems;
Qualifications:
** At least 3 years of experience in a similar IT role, preferably within the hospitality industry;
** Pre-opening hotel experience will be considered an advantage;
** Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills;
** Solid knowledge of IT systems, network infrastructure, hardware, and software management;
** Experience with hotel systems such as PMS, POS, and back-office systems is an advantage;
** Understanding of IT security, data protection, and backup/recovery processes;
** Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work under pressure;
** Strong communication skills and ability to support non-technical users;
** Fluency in Georgian and good command of English;
** Proficiency in MS Office and general IT support tools;
