Geo-Nitro LLC is a company specializing in the production and application of civil explosives, including ANFO and emulsion explosives.

Geo-Nitro was established in Tbilisi in 2003 to produce emulsion base explosives. Main shares are owned by Nobel Explosives. Our plant are located in Marneuli, Georgia, to produce Heavy Anfo products, waterproof booster sensitive with high performance trade purpose explosive.

Our goal is to provide safe, efficient, and technologically advanced blasting solutions, while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

We are currently looking for a Chemical Engineer to join our team. Prior experience in the explosives industry is not required. Selected candidates will receive training and gain hands-on experience in explosive manufacturing and industrial chemical processes.

Position: Chemical Engineer

Position Overview:

The Chemical Engineer will support the production, quality control, and technical development of explosive products at our manufacturing facility. The role involves working closely with the production and engineering teams to ensure that all manufacturing processes are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant safety regulations.
This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in a specialized industrial sector involving chemical manufacturing, process control, and safety management.

Candidate Profile:

Required Qualifications:

** Bachelor`s or Master`s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
** Strong interest in industrial chemical manufacturing.
** Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
** Ability to work in an industrial production environment.
** Good command of English.

Preferred (but not mandatory):

** Knowledge of industrial chemistry or process engineering.
** Basic familiarity with laboratory testing or quality control procedures.
** Turkish language skills are considered an advantage, as part of the technical and operational communication within the company may involve Turkish-speaking team members.

Key Responsibilities:

Production & Process Support:

** Assist in the production of ANFO and emulsion explosives in accordance with established procedures.
** Monitor and support chemical mixing and manufacturing processes.
** Help ensure stable and consistent product quality during production.

Quality Control:

** Participate in quality control testing and product evaluation.
** Monitor important product parameters such as density, composition, and stability.
** Maintain quality records and testing documentation.
** Safety & Compliance
** Follow and support implementation of strict safety procedures for handling explosive materials.
** Assist in preparing risk assessments, safety procedures, and compliance documentation.
** Contribute to maintaining a strong safety culture within the facility.

Technical Documentation:

Assist with preparation and maintenance of:

** Production documentation
** Technical reports
** MSDS and safety documentation
** Process and quality control records

Process Improvement:

** Support engineering teams in improving production efficiency and operational safety.
** Assist in troubleshooting process issues and implementing improvements when necessary.
