We are proud to announce the upcoming opening of Art Riverfront Hotel in Tbilisi, scheduled for Summer 2026. The property will feature 152 guest rooms, all day dining Restaurant, Bar, Terrace, Conference facilities and Gym designed to deliver a contemporary hospitality experience in Tbilisi.
We are currently looking for an experienced Director of Engineering to join our pre-opening team. This role will lead all engineering operations, oversee building systems and maintenance programs, and ensure efficient, safe, and compliant technical management of the property.
Key responsibilities of the Director of Engineering include, but are not limited to:
** Lead all pre-opening engineering activities, including commissioning and handover of building systems, coordination with contractors, and setup of maintenance procedures.
** Manage departmental administration including records, technical documentation, and compliance certifications.
** Prepare timely reports and maintain updated equipment manuals, parts lists, and engineering drawings.
** Align engineering activities with company strategies and represent the department on the hotel`s Executive Committee.
** Conduct regular departmental meetings and ensure effective communication across the team.
** Prepare annual and revised engineering budgets with the Finance Department; monitor expenditures, utilities, and cost-control measures.
** Implement preventive maintenance programs and oversee property maintenance, renovations, landscaping, and guestroom servicing.
** Supervise external contractors, procurement of spare parts, and consumables; ensure cost efficiency.
** Conduct regular inspections of building systems, energy consumption, safety equipment, and environmental programs.
** Collaborate with Security on emergency response planning and safety training initiatives.
** Recruit, train, and develop engineering employees to maximize performance and growth.
** Conduct performance reviews, encourage innovation, and ensure compliance with fire safety, security, and operational procedures.
** Maintain professional relationships with peers, industry organizations, and external service providers.
** Participate in training sessions, leadership meetings, and assigned projects, including Duty Manager shifts.
** Develop and implement CAPEX plans.
** Monitor and optimize energy consumption, utilities savings, and sustainability initiatives.
** Ensure full compliance with local regulations and FLS requirements.
Qualifications:
** 6 to 8 years of engineering management experience, preferred in hospitality or real estate engineering;
** Preferred bachelor`s degree in mechanical, electrical, building services engineering, or a related field;
** Strong technical knowledge of building systems, preventive maintenance, and energy efficiency practices;
** Ability to manage budgets, projects, and teams effectively;
** Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards;
** Strong leadership skills with the ability to plan, organize, and manage operations effectively;
** Fluency in Georgian is required; English language skills are preferred;
