We are proud to announce the upcoming opening of Art Riverfront Hotel in Tbilisi, scheduled for Summer 2026. The property will feature 152 guest rooms, all day dining Restaurant, Bar, Terrace, Conference facilities and Gym designed to deliver a contemporary hospitality experience in Tbilisi.

We are currently looking for an Assistant Purchasing Manager in Tbilisi who will report directly to the Director of Finance, manage the Purchasing team, and ensure cost-effective procurement, timely delivery, and quality assurance of goods and services in line with hotel standards.

Key responsibilities of the Assistant Purchasing Manager include, but are not limited to:

** Managing and supervising daily operations of the Purchasing Department;
** Ensuring cost-effective procurement of goods and services while maintaining required quality standards and timely delivery;
** Leading supplier selection, evaluation, negotiation, and de-selection processes in line with company policies;
** Reviewing vendor quotations and bid proposals; negotiating terms and entering into contracts within approved budget limits;
** Maintaining updated supplier price lists and ensuring competitive quotations are obtained regularly;
** Implementing and enforcing internal control procedures related to purchasing, receiving, storing, issuing, and inventory management;
** Monitoring inventory levels, par stocks, and re-order points to ensure operational continuity while minimizing excess stock and wastage;
** Ensuring proper storage of inventory items and strict adherence to FIFO procedures;
** Preparing and issuing slow-moving item reports and recommending corrective actions;
** Maintaining accurate and complete purchasing documentation, vendor files, and historical purchase records for audit purposes;
** Coordinating closely with the Executive Chef, F&B team, Receiving, and Cost Control to align purchasing specifications and operational needs;
** Contributing to forecasting and annual business planning by providing historical data and cost projections;
** Monitoring departmental costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and recommending alternative sourcing where appropriate;
** Explaining inventory variances beyond acceptable levels and coordinating with Finance on adjustments;
** Ensuring all hotel departments receive goods and services as specified and at the best possible price;
** Managing and developing the Purchasing team, including recruiting, scheduling, training, performance discussions, and ensuring compliance with company policies and standards;
** Ensuring compliance with local legislation, health & safety, fire safety, and technical occupational safety requirements;
** Maintaining strong professional relationships with suppliers, competitor hotels, and relevant market representatives;

Qualifications:

** At least 3 years of experience in Hospitality in the same or a similar position within a hotel;
** Pre-opening hotel experience will be considered an advantage;
** Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills;
** Solid knowledge of procurement processes, inventory control, and cost management;
** Results-oriented with strong time management and prioritization skills;
** Proven leadership and team supervision experience;
** Fluency in Georgian and advanced level of English;
** Proficiency in MS Office and hospitality management systems.
