POSITION: Construction Technical Manager/Civil Engineer (qt of vacancy: 1)
WORK Place: Office work and site visits (Tbilisi - Office and sites)
Work Schedule: Part Time (Half)
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Department Management:
** Establish and manage I&E department strategy (management of business, operations and administrative lines of Department)
** Develop and achieve department objectives and KPIs in line with company
ISO/IEC Implementation:
** Active participation in implementation of ISO/IEC 17020 requirements to include: development and review of procedures, work instructions, and technical documentation; Act as primary contact with the Georgian Accreditation Body
** Ensure inspection activities comply with ISO/IEC 17020 and national regulatory requirements
** Coordinate internal audits and management review processes
** Lead preparation for accreditation audits
** Oversee corrective and preventive actions arising from audit findings
Technical Oversight:
** Ensure technical competence of inspection personnel / site visits and observations
** Approve inspection methodologies and technical decisions
** Ensure impartiality, independence, and integrity of inspection activities
** Monitor quality of inspection reports and technical deliverables
** Manage risk assessment related to inspection activities
Compliance and quality assurance:
** Ensure compliance with Georgian legislation and relevant industrial regulations
** Maintain records required under ISO/IEC 17020
** Monitor and evaluate performance indicators and customer feedback
Compliance and quality assurance:
** Contribute to the development of service scope within the industrial sector in close collaboration with BDM
** Support proposal preparation and technical negotiations with clients
** Identify opportunities for expanding inspection services
Minimum Competency/Qualification Requirements:
** Master`s degree (or equivalent) in a construction-related engineering field.
** A minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience in relevant construction and engineering disciplines.
** No current involvement in construction activities or supply of construction materials (impartiality requirement).
** Experience in inspecting engineering networks, electrical/low-current systems, HVAC, water supply/sewage, or construction works.
** Experience in project documentation review, cost/estimate evaluation, or Form #2 compliance checks.
** Preferably familiar with ISO/IEC 17020 requirements.
Other Skills:
** Ability to interpret project drawings, technical documents, and construction norms.
** Strong analytical and measurement skills, high attention to detail.
** Ability to prepare clear reports, photo documentation, and inspection evidence.
** Strong communication skills in Georgian, English or Russian
** Proficiency in MS Office and standard inspection tools.
