Job Summary
As part of our rapidly growing global freight forwarding network, we are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead our presence in Poti, Georgia. This role is critical to our international operations, as Poti serves as the Black Sea gateway connecting ocean freight with the Caucasus, Central Asia, and North America.
The position combines strategic sales development with hands-on operations, ensuring smooth port handling, inland transportation, and cross-border logistics. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in international freight forwarding, with strong experience in sea freight, container logistics, and client acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
** Identify and secure B2B clients across Georgia, Azerbaijan, and neighboring countries.
** Develop customized freight forwarding and logistics solutions for importers/exporters using Poti as their entry/exit point.
** Promote the company`s end-to-end services: FCL/LCL ocean freight, port handling, customs clearance, multimodal inland transport, and distribution.
** Build a strong sales pipeline and consistently achieve revenue and GP targets.
** Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and logistics forums in Georgia and the wider region.
Operations & Service Delivery
** Manage port operations at Poti, including vessel discharge, transloading, and cargo handling.
** Coordinate inland trucking and rail shipments to Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Central Asia.
** Ensure accurate and timely customs clearance, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
** Liaise with shipping lines, port authorities, and trucking companies to secure competitive rates and reliable services.
** Oversee shipment tracking, milestone updates, and timely communication with clients and HQ.
Client Relationship Management
** Act as the primary contact for customers using Poti as their logistics hub.
** Maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, freight agents, port operators, and vendors.
** Ensure customer satisfaction by proactively resolving issues and maintaining service quality.
Requirements:
** Minimum 2-3 years of experience in freight forwarding, sea freight operations, or logistics sales.
** Proven network of clients and partners in Georgia and/or Azerbaijan.
** Strong knowledge of port logistics, container operations, and cross-border transportation.
** Understanding of INCOTERMS, customs clearance, and global trade documentation.
** Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
** Fluency in English and Georgian; Russian is an advantage.
** Ability to manage both sales targets and operational execution independently.
