TNET is pleased to announce an opening for the position of Senior IT Operations Engineer.
Main Objectives of the Role:
** Lead and oversee the stability, scalability, and efficiency of TNET`s IT infrastructure.
** Core mission is to ensure the seamless operation of systems and services that are critical to business continuity, while driving operational excellence across the IT function.
Key Functions and Responsibilities:
** Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business needs and minimal downtime.
** Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the IT operations team, identifying and deploying technologies that enhance system performance and service delivery.
** Enforce robust security practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
** Oversee system administration of virtual and physical environments, streamlining processes and automating routine tasks to boost efficiency.
** Monitor, analyze, and report on IT performance indicators, ensuring timely issue resolution and optimizing system reliability.
** Supervise server operations, including maintenance, backups, migrations, and capacity planning.
** Lead and develop a high-performing IT team through mentorship, clear delegation, and strategic leadership.
** Collaborate with the IT procurement team to guide technology purchases, standardization, and policy implementation.
** Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and ensure knowledge-sharing across the team.
Must-Have Skills and Qualifications:
** Bachelor`s or Master`s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred but not required).
** Minimum of 4+ years of experience in IT operations, including 2+ years in a senior role.
Deep knowledge of IT infrastructure components, including:
** Web servers: Apache, NGINX
** Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
** High-availability architectures
Proven experience with:
** VMware vSphere
** SAN storage systems
** Veeam Backup solutions
** Server and network architecture
Proficiency in:
** Windows and Linux operating systems
** Bash scripting
** Microsoft Active Directory management
Familiarity with:
** IT monitoring tools (Zabbix, Checkmk)
** Centralized logging systems (e.g., ELK Stack)
** Best practices in technical documentation
** Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a results-oriented IT team.
