1. Installation Technician - Junior
Job Purpose:
To perform installation, testing, and commissioning (T&C) of elevators, escalators, dumbwaiters, and home elevators in compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Skills:
** Receive and securely store materials on-site.
** Use and maintain tools and equipment effectively.
** Execute installation tasks based on instructions from the site supervisor.
** Understand and interpret layout and technical drawings.
** Complete installation and T&C work on time as per manufacturer standards.
** Adhere to QC and ISO checklists for all tasks.
** Identify and resolve technical and quality issues (snags).
** Maintain tools in good condition and ensure site cleanliness.
** Provide suggestions to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
** Inform supervisors about any site issues that may hinder the work plan.
** Identify, safeguard, and manage materials on-site.
** Follow WOS methods and adhere to safe work practices for elevator installation.
Safety Skills:
** Understand and follow safety and quality policies.
** Implement OSHAS procedures (CH/FT/PTW).
** Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).
** Report incidents, accidents, or first-aid cases.
** Identify hazards and communicate with supervisors for resolution.
** Follow critical work procedures and safety guidelines.
** Understand and apply Risk Assessment (RA) and Incident Analysis (AIA).
** Maintain discipline, punctuality, and a high attendance rate.
** Ensure team members work safely and accurately without snags.
Minimum Qualifications, Experience, Skills, and Competencies:
Qualifications:
** 1-2 years of experience in elevator installation or maintenance.
** Experience
** Minimum 1-2 years in the elevator industry.
** Specific Skills
** Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings.
** Proficiency in using measurement tools, hand tools, and welding techniques.
** Language Skills
** Reading and writing in English is preferred.
2. Technician - Elevator Maintenance
Job Purpose:
To perform preventive maintenance (PPM) and handle callbacks for elevators independently, or assist the route supervisor as required.
Key Responsibilities:
** Technical Skills
** Execute tasks according to ISO checklists.
** Perform rescue operations for all types of elevators.
** Conduct Level 1 and Level 2 functional inspections for elevators and escalators.
** Respond to callbacks for elevators and escalators.
** Handle minor emergency repairs.
** Perform repairs on oil seals (motor drum side), bearings, sheaves (EM 24XX), and ropes (specific to repair technicians).
** Conduct load tests and assist with third-party inspections.
** Overhaul brakes in geared elevators and check brakes for PMF machines.
** Support annual maintenance for escalators.
** Carry out minor repairs on escalators.
** Obtain jumper and SMS certifications.
** Perform equipment lubrication as required.
** Effectively communicate with customers regarding maintenance updates or issues.
Safety Skills:
Fulfill all junior technician safety requirements and additional responsibilities, including:
** Complete PTW forms, permits, and relevant documentation; conduct Toolbox Talks (TBT).
** Identify hazards, risks, and control measures in the workplace.
** Explain maintenance activity risk assessments and method statements, including repairs.
** Provide information about Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) alerts.
** Understand and explain safety and quality policies.
** Qualify for SMS certification and apply these practices on routes.
** Ensure compliance with all safety standards and procedures.
** Other Responsibilities
** Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as directed by the Head of Department (HOD) to meet organizational objectives.
Minimum Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Competencies:
Qualifications:
** ITI or 10th standard education with at least 2 years of experience in elevator installation and maintenance.
** Preference for candidates with 2+ years of field experience.

** Skilled in using measurement tools, hand tools, and power tools for repair tasks.
